We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! No Lorac in Canada, sadly, but compared with some of the other “vault” offerings, this stuff looks refreshingly affordable. I love the look of some of the eyeshadow 5 and 7 pans and the Pro Palette value kit with the additional “goodies” – what a nice offer for $28! If I were in the US, I’d for sure be checking these out.

Vampy varnish has many of these swatches up. Admit I got distracted by the 3 cats & border collie. (Hey, if you had a border collie, it would not trash your make up, he’d organize it!)
Riesling Romance (Erin, wine reviewer, must be more puzzled than I…) at $15 would be a great basic starter neutral palette gift for xmas. Teens & 20s that don’t have a go to yet. And the price is right. The swatches looked good, and it combines many of the shades from the usual suspects. Looks mauvier on C’s pic than Kelly’s. I think C’s is probably truer. There are some great deals here, but nothing highly unusual. It would be a good traveler, with all these in one place, too. But what Riesling…Mosel or Washington State…has to do with it is beyond me.

I have two immediate thoughts on this post. One, at best I would wear 60% of the lip set. Those orangey browns and the light pink would make me look sick. Why can’t they make a cool set and a warm set? And secondly, didn’t LORAC learn anything from trusting Amazon to fulfill their cosmetic orders? Wow. I just have no words for this dumb move. I don’t mean to be negative about these releases, but they just aren’t wowing me.

Very reasonably priced launch, but I would only wear (at best) half of the lipsticks and there are way too many brown eyeshadows. I’ll pass.

I would be all over that Pro Matte if it was a Pro to Go palette, with blushes, bronzer and some small brushes. Oh, who am I kidding? I’m going to buy it anyway…..

Riesling Romance looks nearly identical to the Ulta exclusive Champagne Dreams of last year. I snagged it after stalking the release online and frankly, it’s not that great. Not very pigmented, a bit chalky. I have Unzipped and I love it, but I feel like Lorac’s bargain-priced holiday releases lack that level of quality.

Actually, that brings me to one of my biggest gripes about hyped LE releases – they are built up and then sold out so quickly that you often don’t have the option of waiting for some good reviews first! So you either risk missing out altogether, or have to jump with no time to make an informed decision. Boo.

Some of these look interesting, I hope that some people post swatches and reviews before they are released. For the past couple of years I have tried to get my hands on those small palettes and I am never successful. 🙁
