About this Look

A black dress in summer needs a pop of color. We went to Crystal Bridges today and I knew we would be touring the grounds as part of the architecture tour so I was hoping to see the Arkansas state butterfly Diana Fritillary. The males are black with bright orange markings but the females are black and blue. The 2 amazing colors of Chanel Vernis from the 2013 L’ETE DE PAPILLON DE CHANEL collection plus the light blue in NYC Cosmetics City Duet (Yankee Blue) and blue accessories harmonize to make the color scheme. MAC RiRi Woo is the accent color. Much as I’d love to have added a coral lip, my skin only loves the cool tones. We didn’t see the butterfly but I enjoyed flitting around in the flowers.

Nails: Chanel Vernis in Bel-Argus and Azuré, alternating fingers, french pedi
Eyes: NYC City Duets Yankee Blues (light color only)
Face: Flower BB Cream, opalescent dust ‘Opals & Crystals’ (hand blended)
Lips: RiRi Woo
Dress: Tripp NYC for Hot Topic
Shoes: Charlotte Russe
Alice Band: self made
Hat: vintage
Bracelet: private label tennis bracelet with candlelight diamonds, my signature piece.
