Felt tip? The reason why the tattoo liner was such a favorite was the BRUSH tip.
But they’re not getting ride of the tattoo liners they are adding a brown to the line. The Ink Liner are different.
I haven’t tried the lightning liners, and the reviews are pretty poor on Sephora (97 total) but there is a brush tip on those.
the colors are gorgeous in person (and nothing else I’ve seen on the market is like it) so much so that I was tempted to buy one but yeah, the reviews are pretty horrible
The tattoo liner is a brush tip, the ink liner is the same formula, but in a felt tip.
I will take one of everything, lol! I am glad to see another shade of a Tattoo Liner, it’s my absolute favorite. The metallic liners look great too! And of course the eye palette…
I’m always a little afraid of liquid brow products like that, but the eyeliners look amazing!!
Not one plum/violet eggplant type color? I’m dissappointed.
I was disappointed too. I’ve been looking for a plum liquid liner forever.
Pixel Cosmetics makes a brush tip eyeliner that works wonderfully and they have a purple/plum shade on Ulta:

Thank you so much. I can’t believe how cheap it is.
Right?! I love the tattoo liners and was hoping they’d release a nice blue-based or red-based plum too
All of this looks amazing! And I heard rumours that the Kat Von D line is going to sell in Spain soonish, so if I’m lucky enough it will come to my hometown and I’ll be able to check it out when visiting the parents! Otherwise I can see myself making an order to Sephora US. DAT. PALETTE. And the brow liner. And everything, really.
I still dont know if I should get the palette, it’s pretty but I think I have all those colors. I might get the brush though!
This is exactly what I tell myself, right before I say…. “oh but that formula could be different…or maybe this will be THE ONE…. or who cares I just WANT it… lol” But in all fairness I’ve been going back and forth for the same reason since I saw it was out. I never got the contour palette because of all the “contour” products I already have. Part of me just wants to jump on the Shade and Light train for no good reason.. lol. Decisions Decisions…
I probably have most of the shades in the palette among all my KvD palettes, but it’ll be worth it to me to have them all in one place!
Thanks a lot Kat Von D, now I’m going to be making that stupid joke from the Simpsons “good as Gould”!
I don’t think I have ever wanted EVERYTHING from a collection. I’m definitely getting the brush, at the least.
I already ordered the contour eye shadow palette this morning. I love Chrysalis, Monarch, and Interstellar so I have high hopes for this one, too!
Oh, this looks like an interesting collection! Glad they came out with a brown version of the Trooper liner. Would love to see swatches and reviews.
finally a kat von d eyeshadow palette that I would buy $
That eyeshadow brush looks clunky as heck, just like the face contour brush turned out to be. I’m still debating if I’ll take it back or not. I love the look of some of those metallic eyeliners, though!
I’m concerned about that liquid brow liner.
I use a Stila liquid brow liner….it has a teeny tiny tip that precisely fills and “gaps” in my brows. Then I run a spoolie across to blend and straighten everything up. Have a look next time you’re in a store, and you’ll see how much easier and natural it looks IRL than it sounds. I pictured drawn-on clown brows when I first heard of liquid liners, but an in-store demo convinced me that this was more faster and more foolproof than the two-step wax/setting powder that I was using.
I can’t wait to see these swatched! A white liquid liner in a felt tip? YES!
How would you use it Erin?
I just ordered the eye palette this morning! Think I’ll wait for the sale for the brush as it is beautiful but it’s not like I really need another brush :P. But everything looks pretty tempting except for the brow products. I don’t know how I feel about liquid brow products unless you have the whole shaved eyebrow thing going for ya. Can’t wait to read the reviews!
Everything looks great! Love the shades.
Huh, I thought she was adding some new lip products too.
The eye brush looks nice, the rest is meh to me because I don’t wear neutral shadow or liquid eye liner.
I think she said July for those on her Instagram, so they wouldn’t be out yet! 🙂
oh ok. I don’t have instagram, I’d just seen people posting about it on tumblr.
No worries! 🙂
Love the eyeliners. I’ve never heard of liquid brown pens like that. I wonder how well they’ll work. I’m surprised to see an all-brown palette, as I associate this line with off-beat colors. But neutrals/natuaral looks are in for spring, so I guess it makes sense she’d offer one.
I’m shocked that there’s no purple. I’ve been looking for a liquid purple liner forever and can’t find one anywhere. The MUFE one has glitter, the Jordana one flaked off my eyes in a couple of hours and there doesn’t seem to be anything else at the drugstore. If someone can recommend a good dark purple liquid liner, please let me know!
Artline in Aubergine by Lancome.
Thanks for replying. I just put it in my basket for the Sephora sale.
Yeah! I am happy to see a brown version of the tattoo liner. It’s actually a workable liquid liner for me. I really would love to see some reviews on some of this stuff. Kat Von D is an amazing artist and I am glad she has expanded her line. But, there have been some hit and miss items. I’d love to see how the other liners and the eye palette work out.
Why is it that none of these felt-tipped/brush-tipped liquid liners ever come in surple? Stila has hot pink but no purples. There are none in this line either. The only one I’ve ever found was Eyeko, and I don’t know if they even make it anymore.
Surple. Yeah, that’s a color. LOL.
Purple.
I tried the Lightening Liner at Sephora yesterday. It was horrible. That might be partially to the fact that it was a tester, but I could not get a smooth even line no matter how hard I tried. It was gloopy and thick.
These look nice, but, I love a brush liner. I never get the precision of a brush with felts.
Periwinkle isn’t a shade you often see in liquid liner, cool. I like the look of the brush, too, it’s interesting.
Kat Von D isn’t sold here but as these are permanent additions, I’ll definitely take a look the next time I’m in a Sephora!
Considering how many who shop this line use black for their brows, I wonder why no black brow pen…
Oooohhhh!!! Why is all this awesome stuff coming out as I’m having to save money!?? I love the trooper liner because of nikkietutorials and how she uses it all the time for flawless cat eyes. I’m excited for all the new colors. I’m over all this contouring nonsense but the liners look amazing. I’ll askin the brow products cause liquid brows? Ehhhhhhh. But overall excited.
They look pretty lovely and I hope they review well. Love the greens, blues and gold.
“It’s specially-designed for eye contouring, a groundbreaking technique once used only by beauty experts to define and enhance eyes.”
Give me a break.. that is almost insulting.
I think the eye palette looks lovely but I’m hesitant, I probably own dupes for most of the shades! I hope the brow pens are great, I’ve heard good things about similar products. Hopefully the liners perform better than the studded kiss lipsticks!
I really like the idea of the brow liners. I have one left over from Paula’s Choice (she no longer sells them), and I’m not normally a “do my brows” person, but I really liked how easy the PC pen liner is to control. Mine is all but dry, so I’m intrigued and encouraged by the Kat Von D version. The blonde color looks like it might be a bit too golden for me, but if I ever manage to make it to a Sephora, I’ll definitely test it out.
Looking forward to these! I wish she’d made something for Asian (black) brows.
This may sound strange but, unless that eye palette is magic, I have no interest in any of the new Kat Von D products and I’m SUPER happy about it! Why? Because I’m developing some serious feelings for several items in the new UD lineup and I’m getting geared up to make the commitment! LOL However, I am still looking forward to your review. That eye palette might just be the perfect holiday gift for my youngest daughter.
I still own my Tattoo Liner in Maya. I wonder if Mad Max is any different.
I never had an issue with my Lightning Liners. Excited for these new ones!
I dont trust Kat Von D
With the use and abuse my matte shades get in the Lorac palettes I’ll DEFINITELY be purchasing the Shade and Light Eye palette. So excited.
I do not own any products from the Kat Von D line but this collection sounds appealing. I am glad to read that the products are permanent which allows me time to research and purchase them. The Mad Max Brown liner is not permanent (or is it?) so I may have to pick that one up ASAP although I have not mastered applying this kind of liner.
I wonder how some of these color liners will compare to Stila’s color liners.
I really love the trooper pen tip vs the felt ink pen liner. Can you please make different colors in that formulation. I really love navy blue. You could name the differnt colors after Arch angels.:-)
