Kat Von D Armageddon Everlasting Love Liquid Lipstick ($19.00 for 0.18 fl. oz.) is described as a “carnation pink.” It’s a cool-toned, light pink with strong, blue undertones and a flat, matte finish. Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Mannequin (P, $18.00) is warmer. MAC Raspberry Swirl (LE, $16.00) is more muted, darker. MAC Saint Germain (LE, $16.00) is less matte, slightly purpler. This is a new shade added this spring (you can see the other I tried here), and the last I have to review. The formula is described as a “long-wear, full-coverage liquid lipstick with a smooth matte finish.” It is also supposed to have “added hydration.” It had rich, full color coverage in a single stroke, and the color applied evenly and smoothly. It begins as a liquid, and initially, it is glossy, but it quickly dries and sets for an ultra matte finish (about twenty to thirty seconds). Be sure not to press lips together while it’s drying, as the formula will stick and lift wherever the lips are touching. This shade wears six hours on me and is lightly drying. It does feel clingy to a degree, so it may be uncomfortable to wear if you are used to more emollient/slippery formulas.
