Introduction to Surratt Beauty

A Few Notes | If you like softer, slightly sheerer eyeshadows, Surratt’s are good–you can definitely see the Japanese influence over the range with respect to texture and payoff. They sit well on the skin, but they aren’t all intensely pigmented out of the gate and tend to work best sheered out as a wash or layered for more opaque coverage. I’m a big fan of the Lip Lustres (lipgloss) formula, as they combine shine and sparkle in a way that’s easy to wear and still dimensional. The Prismatique Lips (lipstick) hasn’t been reviewed officially on the blog yet, but for someone who likes a lot of sparkle in their lipstick and doesn’t mind re-applying, they can be fun. The Lipslique (lipstick) formula is comfortable to wear and has good coverage, generally, though I have only tried three or four shades for actual wear. I haven’t tried the brushes by the brand, but I have heard only raves, so they seem to be comparable to the very high-end side of the spectrum (Chikuhodo, SUQQU, etc.).

What would you recommend to someone just trying Surratt Beauty for the first time?
