I hardly wear lipgloss cause they almost all seems to be so sheer. If I’m spending $15-25 on a gloss, I want it to show up. I can get a clear gloss at the drug store for $5.

I prefer semi-opaque, because it’s more versatile to use.
If I want a sheer wash of color, I’ll apply thinly.
If I want a more dramatic effect, I’ll pile on the layers.

The only use I have for sheer and semi-sheer lipglosses is to layer over lisptick to add dimension.
Opaque lipgloss is amazing for a quick look and dramatic effect. Bloodwork by Nars is my absolute favorite in the pigmented department.

I chose other, because i like them all. It depends on what i want from a gloss at the time. Though i do get dissappointed when i buy a colour of gloss and its just clear on the lips. Max Factor released glosses last year and i bought two, they both looked the same on me – clear, but two different gorgeous colours in their bottles. I was furious.

Since I rarely use lip gloss on its own, I usually go for a sheer or semi-opaque. More often, I use it as a way to brighten a matte lipstick when I went a little more oomph to the look.

I don’t think I have a strong preference, I don’t like totally opaque glosses because they tend to get messy (you know, the lines between your lips? bleah!).
Other than that, I like them all really. It depends on the look I’m going for.

Sheer/semi-sheer. My ultimate goal is to find a lip gloss that really just deepens the natural color of my lips with some shine. I’ve been using Clinique’s Black Honey as it’s the best I’ve found so far, but it’s really a smidge too brown on me, & I’d prefer something more berry-ish.
Haha, I’m not particular at all!

I chose other. It depends on the type of look I’m going for. If I am wearing lipstick, then a sheer to semi-sheer gloss would be better to compliment the lipcolor. Otherwise, I would wear whatever gloss would compliment the look I’m going for on a particular day/evening. They all have their place.
