Guerlain Spring 2016 Collection
In 1987, Guerlain, the architect of light, launched Meteorites: the first loose illuminating and color-correcting powder that came in the form of multi-colored pearls. One stroke of the brush and these pearls released a perfecting halo to bathe the skin with light and glow with ideal radiance.
There is no mistaking the enviable radiance of a woman’s skin when she looks well rested, healthy and vibrant. She has that certain ‘je ne sais quoi’. Today, Guerlain reveals the secret to her ethereal glow with a joyful, luminous and colorful 2016 Spring Collection.

OK, I am SO glad my skin is allergic to fragrance and alcohol (which Guerlain products tend to have), otherwise, I would be tempted. These prices are ouchie! $ 180 for the powder compact? $34 for one shadow? Very pretty but yikes
All that fragrance! On the one hand, it sucks, and on the other, money saved lol
That’s one pricey powder! Looks pretty but that hat price is way too high.
I really want that Meteorites Voyage Compact, but the $179 price tag is a bit out of my makeup budget. Lol
hi Momo! I have good news for you! They are also delivered a refill for this voyage of 2016!!)) I bought it today instead full package! Just 60$ refill vs 180$! It packaged very easy, no mirror, but product is full-sized and smell amazing! Check in your stores, i am so happy to have a chance have new meteorites for a good price!
OMG! I was just looking at that refill pan online yesterday! LOL
I thought of buying that instead. The compact isn’t important. Just the product.
Thank you. 🙂
The blush duo is so gorgeous and I especially love the message, but I just can’t justify spending that much money on a single makeup item! Maybe someday lol xxx
Wow! This is the first guerlain collection I haven’t liked a single thing. So disappointed.
The colors are so pretty! But am I the only one put off by the luxurious packaging (and price tags!) juxtaposed with the font for “smile” and “enjoy” that looks straight up Oregon Trail circa 1985?
lol hahaha!!! I remember those Oregon trail days when u died of syphilis n dehydration lmao!
The one and ONLY thing I like here is way out of my price range! Gorgeous, but not at $179. !
Besides, it might look a bit odd on my NC37-40, C4.5 (depending on formula, time of year) complexion.
The compact and powder is beautiful, but outside of my price range. The lipstick looks pretty and sparkly.
I don’t like the words engraved into the powders. It looks so tacky IMO. Doesn’t that primer already exist?Think I’ve tried it and it was too dry for me. Only thing I’m interested in here is the super expensive compact. Honestly, don’t know if this will be the year that I decide I’m going to shell out that much for a compact. It seems like the product inside may be the same as the regular meteorites pressed powder. I’ve got the big 4-0 coming up in Feb..I don’t know. That’s a lot of money.
I wonder if you can just buy a refill and skip the compact?
I’ve done that – when the refill pan comes out, you just get that and then get the $14 Stila (empty/refillable) compact from Sephora. I got the idea from another reader on here a few years ago. 🙂
Good question Mimi!
STILL no new Rouge G 🙁
I know. What are they waiting for?
Was thinking the same. I would like to see versions of purples, I think. It seems like it’s mostly been vibrant reds, orange reds and pinks.
Guerlain comes out with the most beautiful products…but they are so out of a my broke college girl wallet 🙁
That powder is beautiful, but the price!! No way could I ever justify that!
I saw that meteorites powder compact and thought I was f*cked! It’s gorgeous!
Then I saw the price. Ok Guerlain, now it feels like you think people are stupid. Unless that meteorites is way better than the others, that price is completely unjustified even for luxury since it’s beautiful but not that different from other meteorites which are priced considerably lower.
I love Guerlain, but that is a hella naff spring line! I’m sorry I’m fed up with the redone almost $200.00 meteorites compact, for that price point, it should be absolutely spectacular, and a bit more unique.
That compact looks like the walls of my childhood bedroom, my dad worked on it for days
$179? Really? Not unless I have some kind of MAJOR win in my lifetime, that’s just not going to happen for me.
Ohhh my. Love the lipstick so far, the blush is very pretty, but the compact? Ohhh my! Beautiful!
I am pretty excited to try the new primer. I love the BabyGlow line. I think they can make a great new primer.
I can’t wait to see the liner swatched!
So pretty. So expensive 🙁
Monica.
I was going to get the entire collection. Then, I noticed that the tip of the eyeliner wasn’t embossed and felt completely shattered. Way to let me down, Guerlain! 😉
Seriously though, the compact is beautiful! I won’t be buying it… only admiring the photos. Sigh…
The blush is pretty but $62 plus tax???? I don’t think so.
As others have said “ouch” on the price of the powder! I do like Meteorites powders but I feel Guerlain is really getting ridiculous with those prices (and as much as I love the powders, I have to say there are many that are really good in the under $50 range).
Oh these look so pretty! I actually don’t own any Guerlain products, but that powder compact is calling my name. Too bad it’s $180, just way too much to spend on a powder. 🙁
Dang that’s expensive, but the packaging is on fleek! If I bought that, I woundn’t be abble to use it… it’s simply too pretty. xoxo
Looks gorgeous especially the compact, but too expensive. love the blush and eyeshadow.
Why Guerlain whyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!! as bad as I want that voyage…I might need to see how many nordy notes I have to soften the blow!!
The $179 compact had better come with a fantastic dermatologist and plastic surgeon! LOL!
The blush duo is the only tempting item. Although, I would have preferred separate pans for the two shades. The Météorites price tag is bonkers.
I think the Meteorites Voyage Enchante sold out even before the holiday Meteorites at initial launch (though it’s been restocked), so there is a market out there, but it’s not a product I can spend that kind of money on, especially with the type of ingredients Guerlain uses.
I do love the one eyeshadow single I have, so unless I get another one of those, the Perles des Neiges might be my last Guerlain purchase for quite some time.
I’m not a fan of the text on the makeup! Didn’t like it when Burberry did it and this looks off as well. Wouldlove to know the thinking behind it.
For everyone complaining about Guerlain prices, they’re not different from Chanel and other French High-end cosmetics. Guerlain’s clientele is people that can afford those prices without a blink, this is not Avon girl, as simple as that. I used to be a makeup artist over a decade ago and even though I worked for a different brand I sometimes had clients that wanted Guerlain’s cosmetics so I had to use their make up (along with splitting the commission with someone from that case even though they didn’t anything other than fetch the products I used in the client) and Meteorites is a truly wonderful product. Sure, you can achieve a similar effect with less expensive products but is was NEVER the same as the finish and radiance. I see they updated the packaging which it makes it look more cool and modern and not antiquated as their typical packaging.
I’ve got one of the past primers, which looks like identical product to me, so there’s no point in picking that up. But I think I may buy the compact this time around. Not 100%?sure as of yet. Yes, it’s somewhat pricey but I’d rather purchase one thing I absolutely love & will regularly use instead of 5 products I’m only partially satisfied with & will only use from time to time. And judging from the mountain of craptastic offerings we’ve been bombarded with over the past 2-3 years, I’m not holding out much hope for anything decent or exciting from any of the cosmetics companies in 2016.
Colors are pretty, but the words in the powder is kinda cheesy. I would like Guerlain to stick to being elegant not cute. If I wanted cute then I would have bought something from TooFaced for have the price. I hope there is more to the collection than this.
