The formula is supposed to live between "sheer and satin lipstick[s]" with "long-lasting" hydration with "shine" that wears for "four hours." They had a more gel-like consistency to me; denser and firm in the tube, but they glided on readily and had a glossy, wet-looking shine that was almost balm-like without being as slippery as a true balm consistency.

The pigmentation was sheer, as marketed, and most shades were somewhat buildable to more semi-sheer to medium coverage so those with more pigmented natural lip color may still find they show up enough. The colors applied evenly and smoothly across my lips with only a few shades settling into my lip lines noticeably.

They were comfortable to wear over the two to four hours they lasted for, and the formula felt hydrating over time. It is a heavily-scented floral formula that had a perfume-like taste to me when I wore them.
