The formula is supposed to have sheer coverage that hydrates and conditions lips. They delivered sheer to semi-sheer coverage with a smooth, lightweight consistency that was non-sticky and had a fair amount of slip. I think they were comfortable to wear and moderately hydrating, though there are other lip balms that do a better job at long-term hydration.

The big weakness of the formula was lack of longevity, which wasn't a surprise given how emollient and non-sticky the texture was; they tended to wear for two hours or so, shorter if one did a lot of talking or ate/drank. They were vanilla-scented but has no discernible taste.
