I sanitize lipsticks every 6 months or so, powder products every 6-9 months (generally when I do a major re-organization). I’m pretty clean about skincare and the like. I use recycleable disposable lipgloss wands for gloss so no double-dipping.

I sanitize lipsticks by dipping them in rubbing alcohol, gently blotting, then letting it dry (about five minutes). I sanitize powders by spraying them with rubbing alcohol, waiting 30 seconds or so, then wiping down with a paper towel. I get my recycleable, disposable lipgloss wands here; they also have lip brushes here.
