Im a big fan the revlon and covergirl quads that have the four colors that look good together (at least for me they do!), but Im not a fan of the collection palettes that come out for the higher end brands, I feel like they just arent enough of each color for the amount they end up costing me. At least with the revlon and cover girl ones its not too huge of a splurge if they dont work out together. 🙂

I like palettes that are well balance, either they com that way or you make you custom one. I fin i never go through a full size eyeshadow pan.

Yes! Especially for trying out a new brand because then I can see if the formula is good across a range of shadows instead of maybe getting one bad shadow that isn’t reflective of the usual standard. They are also good for trying out colours I wouldn’t usually pick and for travel- my MAC holiday set (smoke and mirrors I think) is great to take on holiday for a few variations of smokey/neutral eyes 😀 Oh, I love palettes! Can’t wait for the Urban Decay Naked palette to be released in the UK and for all the Christmas things to come!!

I prefer to get my eye shadow in palettes. It seems like a better deal. Plus, palettes usually come with good color schemes so I don’t have to search hard for colors that go together.

I think you get a better value out of ‘palettes.’ Though I am LOVING my single Mac eyeshadows, I am so so SO excited to get that Naked Palette. It’s such a good deal, full sized eye shadows for only $44 (I think…haha). Heck yes!!

I once bought a Chanel eyeshadow pallette, but TBH my eyelids are so small you could hardly see the makeup on it! I’ve never bought one again, and anyway I prefer to have a strong red lip with a nude eye.
That said, I do love to see what pallettes makeup brands launch every season, especially Chanel. They have the most gorgeous colours!

I voted “they’re okay” because usually I don’t like all the colors in the palette – just one or two, and then the others go to waste, and palettes take up so much storage space! Also, I have found that sometimes shadows in palettes aren’t as good quality as the single shadows you can purchase from the brand.

yes, i like eyeshadow palletes if its my mac pallete because ive made it myself and its what i want in there. but as for other types of palletes i dont really like them that much. 🙂

My MAC Palettes, I absolutely love them, since I chose all the colours! Premade palettes, not so much.. There’s always a couple of colours that I just won’t use, and often, the packaging is too bulky.

I LOVE palettes! They’re normally a good deal, and a lot of times I get colors I wouldn’t normally buy to play with, then end up falling in love with them! =)

Im a huge fan eyeshadow palettes like Dior, Chanel and Givenchy’s !:
-they save time , I don’t need to worry about creating a colour scheme for your eyeshadows!
– Eyeshadows in these particular brands are not suuuppper pigmented like Mac and MUFE ones , so they’re easier to handle!
– Okay! , I know this one is so lame but they usually come in very cute packaging 😀 and they are portable!!

I like palettes. but all my love goes to mini beuaty items that can be attached to phone, keys or necklace. like borjous , elf mini lipglosses, mascaras and lipsticks . so cute and handy

I like them ONLY when i make them like from mac, mufe, etc etc. but sometimes palettes dont come with the color you need and you find yourself searching for a different palette! Only palette im LOVING right now and i adore 100% of the colors is the naked palette by urban decay. its like heaven in a palette for me. i love neutrals! so boring haha

I am a huge pallette fan I find that I do t forget about colors that I own. Also I fEel that for a beginner they allow for trial and error and for the experienced user it allows for a speedy grab and go

I prefer palettes over singles because it’s much easier for travel, and it’s much easier to come up with looks using the colors given to you. They’re great when you’re kind of stuck on what looks to come up with.

I’m conflicted! I love when I find a palette with all colours I love and want, because it’s always such a good value. But I hate falling in love with one colour in the palette when the rest are just “eh” and you know you won’t use them. I did this with a Covergirl quad and then found out AFTER that the one colour I bought it for comes in a single. Le sigh.

I love to store my shadows in palettes but I like “moveable” palettes. I have purchased some UD decay premade palettes because I think they are sort of the “masters” at palettes. The Deluxe Shadow palette, Naked Palette, Baked Palette, are a few I have picked up.

i looove my MAC & Urban Decay Palettes!! I Just find them to be much easier to carry around when i travel. Plus i dont like having a million single shadows laying around.

I do like palettes for the fact that they’re easy to carry around rather than 4 or 5 indivisual eyeshadows. But at the same time, I find myself not using every color in a palette. For example, the 88 Matte palette: I counted how many of the eyeshadows I actually use and it came up to less than 20. I feel that it’s somewhat a waste of money in a sense.

I love them for their portability and their sorted color ranges. You can’t do anything wrong with them.

BUT I hate them if I fall in love with only one or two colors or if they come with the same colors in every palette. Like, yet another black e/s or highlighter that I already have enough to last me a lifetime.

MAC palettes are one thing, because you fill them with your own shadows and that is fantastic. Other than that, I don’t care for palettes. I see so many of them at Sephora and I can’t help but to think that nobody put any real thought into the colors and how they should coordinate with each other. Also, I feel that a single palette can in no way suit the needs of every woman — we all having different skin tones, hair colors, eye colors, and preferences. It’d be a waste to spend money on a palette where I’d only use 3 of 6 things. Know what I mean?

On another note, I DID buy the UD Naked palette and it truly lives up to the hype. I know it’s permanent, but I’d definitely buy another just to have on hand.

i find pre made palettes annoying, because i love the customization of the MAC palette system. I usually never buy pre made palettes, but I never use single potted shadows either. Depotting for life :p

I like palettes especially if I am trying a brand. It gives me the ability to try multiple shadows and finishes in the brand without investing in purchasing individual shadows from that line. Then I can decide if I want to expand beyond the palett

You know, I don’t really care for palettes. I feel like they’re cheap and crappy feeling (no matter how high brand the name) and have such a small amount of product. I’ve got tons of gorgeous eyeshadow that is small enough to carry around on trips without needing the gimmick of a palette that, at best, has two to three wearable shades out of five to ten.

The exception might be the Naked palette from UD. I don’t generally care for neutrals, but it’s a gorgeous lineup and every one is full size? I’m gonna be all over that soon!

I like the idea of palettes, but sometimes the colors dont go well together, or the quality is lower than the singles, and then you have a palette sometimes where you love two of the six colors, and the other ones are just okay or lack in pigment. I buy palettes, but I always reach for the singles shadows that I handpicked myself.
