I enjoy it somewhat, but I have to be in a patient mood in order to do it because a lot of people, even adults, have difficulties staying still enough for me to get it done properly and keep it from turning out sloppy. I actually did my sister’s makeup the other night as a late birthday present and had to go back with makeup remover on a lot of the eyes because she kept semi-blinking (her eyes were closed, but not enough), keeping her eyes shut too hard (can’t cover the eyelids properly when they’re squeezed shut!) or actually full-on blinking when I applied things that required her to have her eyes open (such as the products used on the lower lid).

So long story short, yes, I do enjoy doing other people’s makeup, but it can be incredibly frustrating and end up taking forever if the person is not good at staying still.

Yes, I’ve worked at 3 different cosmetics counters so I’ve done it lot. Now my friends and family ask me to do their makeup for events.

It depends on the person’s preferences. Bold looks are fun because you have more to work with! Neutrals can also be fun but aren’t as exciting, in my opinion. ^^;

Depends. On a general note I do, but like some people already mentioned some people can’t stay still or move their eyes a lot. I have a friend who always keeps one eye open when I do her makeup, which is kinda creepy sometimes but mostly I find that it makes her other eye move around more and she is less focused on keeping still. I like to do my friends makeup before we go out, preferably before they start drinking because then, it’s a whole other story. Other then the moving and the lack of patience on my part I love it. It can be very rewarding when ur subject looks in the mirror when your done and you know they live it and feel beautiful.

Yup I love it. I only do it for fun, and did a bunch of friends’ sisters grad makeup (including a trial run). For free. That was a blast!

The only person on whom I’ve applied makeup (for the past 5+ years) is my mom, and I like applying makeup on her! I wouldn’t enjoy applying makeup on anyone else.

I kind of like it, because I enjoy the practice of applying it. But I also can’t stand it, bacause I have chronically shaking hands, causing me to have to always rest my wrist as I do make-up. Not a good thing when doing it for someone else! So far I only do it for friends and stuff, since they don’t mind.

I really like it when I’m in the mood for it. What I don’t like is to be put on the spot or to be rushed, especially by people who can’t be assed to do their own make-up. My sister, for example, ‘prides’ herself on not wearing face make-up and only wearing minimal eye make-up, usually poking fun because I have so much make-up I wouldn’t be able to finish it in ten years. She is, however, the first one to whine that I do her up ‘just like you!’ when we are on our way out of the house. She will subsequently grouse about the fact that it doesn’t look as good on her as it does on me. It makes me want to yell ‘Do your own and learn your own eye and mouth shapes! ARGH!’

I love it. I’ve only done makeup on my little sisters as my older sister can’t stand other people doing her eyes. But I get to do my friend’s makeup soon for a wedding she’s going to. Yay!!

I like to because it’s fun to experiment with other looks on different faces, but since I’m so used to application on my own face I find it a bit difficult and less controlled when I have to mirror the moves on a face.

I’m not superconfident with applying make up on other people but I always get asked to since they like how I do my own. It usually comes out pretty good I think. No one’s looked in the mirror and cried yet lol

I do! I actually like it better than applying it to myself! I guess I get bored applying it on myself; I think it’s a fun challenge to work on people with different face shapes, coloring, and skin texture. I feel more creative when I work on other people, I guess. The only time it becomes less fun is when you have someone who complains rather than tries to actually explain what they want. I don’t mind fidgety people just because sometimes it’s difficult and feels weird to sit still when someone else is doing your makeup. It was always hard for me to let other people go near my eyes because it would just feel weird, especially with liner or mascara.

And I find applying makeup on other people easier. I don’t know why, but I just feel like it’s easier to apply makeup when I’m looking directly at someone over looking at myself in a mirror. I feel like a get a better grasp on the look or something.

I always have fun when I can convince a friend to let me put makeup on them, but I’m terrible at it. I can only apply it to myself decently.

Yeah, I like it. I’ve been asked to do makeup for fashion shows, dances, and friends whenever they’re going out to formal events or on dates. Even when I do my makeup really simple, with just a wash of color on my lids, I still get compliments, so I guess I’ve developed my skills over the years.

I do. Its why I want to work in the makeup industry, And somehow when I apply makeup to other people, It looks much much better on them, than if I had applied it to myself.

I mostly like creating and experimenting on myself. over time ppl just signed me up to do weddings/pictures so I went with it…and now I LOVE new canvasas

it usually depends on the person’s face. There are some people that have the perfect canvas for makeup and I can’t help but want to play with their features.
