Precious Rocks (864)

Dior Precious Rocks (864) DiorBlush Vibrant Color Powder Blush ($45.00 for oz.) is a medium, pink-coral with warm undertones and a mostly matte finish. There was fine gold sparkle on top of the powder, but it did not go all the way through. The texture was dry with a very chalky base that was difficult to pick up evenly with a brush, blend out. The coverage was sheer, though the brand described it as a “sheer peach.” The issue I had with this was just how poorly it applied–it was patchy and uneven, as the powder seemed to grab onto the skin and not want to move. It lasted for a mere four hours on me before fading noticeably.

Well, the holiday LEs are all over the place in quality, seems to me. As for Dior, how can they consistently make such wonderful face powders and highlighters, and throw this dog of a blush on the market? It really doesn’t make a lot of sense. Is making a powder blush that much different than making a face powder? I’d love to know the inside company scoop, but they’ll never tell.

Just wow. How can the premium brands continue to put out weak products. I want to buy the fancy eye shadow quads and blushes from them. I love the packaging and I will pay. There is no excuse for poor quality when a drugstore can make a fine product. There has been so much of this nonsense lately.

Wow, an F ??? Shame on Dior, but it seems like they have no shame putting their name on such a terrible product. Well, I got 2 MAC Spring Flocks (rated A), for the price of 1 Dior that’s rated an F

Idk how you manage to look glorious in such an abysmal product. I have a moment of Schadenfreude, every time something fails that I would not wear, anyway, but then think of how many people will be truly disappointed. No excuse for this, and we thank you for the warning.

I’m really wondering how Dior ever earns the price point. Maybe some of the shadow quads. I have the long lasting foundation, forget the name, that is nice. Otherwise I’m not too wowed by their offerings. This color is so pretty but yikes on the follow through.

My Spanish mother had a wonderful saying….it goes something like this, “gain fame, then take a nap.” I think that’s the problem with some of these couture fashion houses and their beauty products…they’re banking on their name and fame. It’s one thing for less expensive beauty lines to have inconsistent quality, but for top name brands, I expect consistency in quality.
