Clionadh Turret Pastel Multichrome Eyeshadow ($14.25 for 0.05 oz.) has a grayish base that shifted from copper to muted, mid-tone purple to pale gold and had a subtle, metallic sheen. Per the brand, it shifts from “pink-orange-gold,” which was accurate. The shift was noticeable but the spectrum didn’t seem as extreme, so for those who want some dimension but find more extreme shifts to be harder to work with, this might work well.

It had rich color coverage applied with fingertips or a dampened brush, while a dry brush applied nearly opaque coverage in a single layer (in line with the brand’s description). The consistency was soft, lightly powdery in the pan as it was a bit more loosely-pressed, but it applied well with good adhesion and no fallout when I patted/pressed it into place with a dry brush. It stayed on nicely for nine hours before showing signs of fading.

Formula Overview

$14.25/0.05 oz. - $285.00 Per Ounce

The formula is supposed to perform "similarly to a regular metallic shadow," but the brand recommends using a "dense packing brush or fingertip" for maximum coverage. The Pastel formula has a "soft, sheer, grungy, grey base" that has "metallic coloured reflects" along with a shift.

They had opaque coverage applied with a fingertip and more semi-opaque, buildable coverage applied with a brush. The texture was soft, smooth, and blendable but was more firmly-pressed into the pan compared to most of the other Multichrome formulas the brand offers. They wore between eight and nine hours before fading a bit.

I would agree that they work much like a typical shimmery eyeshadow, and the shifts are noticeable but more muted and subtler than the more popular Jewelled Multichrome finish (as anticipated based on the brand's description!).

Clionadh Cathedral Pastel Multichrome Eyeshadow ($14.25 for 0.05 oz.) has dirty, olive base that shifted from olive-brown to warmer, pink-plum to copper to greenish-gold paired with a smooth, metallic sheen. Per the brand, it shifts from “orange-yellow.” It seemed slightly more dimensional to me, actually! The finish was less intense–not as metallic nor as sparkly–compared to other Multichrome finishes in the brand’s offerings.

The texture was soft, smooth, and blendable without being too softly nor too firmly pressed into the pan, which made it easy to work with whether I picked a dry brush, dampened brush, or used a fingertip for application. The latter two methods definitely yielded the most intense coverage with the last product, though a dry brush applied nearly opaque coverage in one layer. It wore well for nine hours before fading a bit.
