China Glaze Up & Away Collection: Happy Go Lucky

China Glaze Happy Go Lucky Nail Lacquer is a bright, sunshine yellow creme. It goes on opaque in just one or two layers, and it really does look quite cheery. This is nearly neon, but not quite, and it’s certainly a very bright shade–not for the faint of heart!

I liked a thinner first coat followed by a thicker second coat and then finished it off like I normally would (top coat/fast drying coat). Just one thicker coat alone had a tendency to be slightly streaky, so I preferred a streakier first coat followed by a more solid second coat to make sure it was all even in the end.

It’s a thick formula, though not runny or gooey, and it applies fairly smoothly. If you go with a thicker layer, be sure to keep hands flat while waiting for each coat to dry a bit, because the thickness of the formula can move to the sides if you hold your hand on the tilt. It also best to give each layer some time to dry and not just layer it on immediately.
