Chanel Stunt Rouge Allure Laque

Chanel Stunt Rouge Allure Laque

Chanel SoHo Story: Stunt

First, I must warn you: I LOVE ROUGE ALLURE LAQUES. I received a few to review when they first came onto the market, and I literally ran out the next day and bought four more. (I’ve reviewed all shades to date here.) I get four to six hours of wear with the formula, which I find rich in color, lightweight, and comfortable to wear; they’re moisturizing enough to keep my lips in good shape whenever I wear ’em.

Chanel Stunt Rouge Allure Laque ($32.00 for .20 oz.) is a pink-kissed plum with a very creamy look, slight glossiness, and rich, opaque color. LOVE! This is a flattering shade on both cooler and warmer skin tone. It is also such a needed shade to the Rouge Allure Laque range, which makes it a real shame that it’s a limited edition color. Stunt is such a wearable shade of pink/plum that’s not too light or dark, nor is it bright pink like Phoenix.Β  So happy I bought it–now, if only Chanel would add about eight more shades to the range and make those all permanent…

Yes, I only meant that this shade is limited edition πŸ™‚ When I said I wanted them to make more shades and make them permanent, I meant that those new shades would be added to the permanent range!

Great…just what I needed…a LE Chanel Rouge Allure Laque! πŸ™‚ I love this color–and ALL of the laques thanks to you Christine–but I really hope this LE thing is NOT a trend! I would hate for that to happen because these are actually amazing products and not just something that got pushed through purely for marketing purposes (you know I loves me some MAC but sometimes they are just too overwhelming with their LE products).

OMG this would have to be the best colour out of the Rouge Allure Laques for me. So sad it is LE and the fact it wasn’t released in Australia…*sigh*

I wish it was permanent too, since I love all the available colors but I want more! Thanks for posting this- I was still able to purchase it online tonight but the Stunning lipstick is not on the site anymore =(

Thank you again for all the time, work, and money that you put into your hobby! I’ve gotten hooked on Guerlain and Chanel because of your reviews and swatches. =D

Soooo beautiful ! I ordered mine from and am checking my email everyday because it is still on back order πŸ™ You are so right about Chanel needing a plum color in the RAL’s. I just purchased Imperial in hopes it would be more plum or even brown with plum tones and it was not. At All. Musings of a Muse posted that Stunt was more ” purple ” but I really don’t see that in your swatch. Can’t wait for mine to arrive ! By the way, LOVE your blog ! πŸ™‚

I like the colour! It looked very dark on other beauty blogs, but it doesn’t come across that dark on you.

I wish Chanel would have a pink-coral Rouge Allure Laque! I’d totally run out in my pyjamas for that one!

Thank you, Elise! I’m not sure it’s available at Nordies – it was online only, but some readers have said their counters will get it in October!

Yep, I just got back, you were right πŸ™
wwwaaaaaaaah! Did you get a preview sample, b/c now there is a run on this limited edition color–btw, Chanel should probably thank you for the review! πŸ™‚

I’m nw20-nw25 and I’d LOVE to try this color on for size. If it weren’t for how much they retail for I’d have Dragon already. After seeing the swatch again It’s going to be very hard for me to say no especially with Dior discontinuing my favorite red lipstick a year or so ago!

I think this is one of the best lip colors I’ve seen on your website. I’m pretty picky when it comes to lipsticks/lipglosses. I have been using my MAC Ample Pink Plushglass religiously and Clinique’s Almost Lipstick in Black Honey. I switch between both but I think after purchasing this late last night, I have a new favorite! I haven’t even tried it yet and love it! Thanks for the heads up on this product. I believe now it’s sold out!

what department store was this counter in? i need to check to see if any chanel counters in my area have it stocked but i don’t want to waste my time going to every single department store!

Oh how I wished this worked out for me. I just bought the Phoenix color last night and I put it on this morning at around 9am. I reapplied once at 11:15am and it’s now 2:30pm. I took a glance in the mirror and I noticed a line around the inner part of my lips where the color had dried up and collected (gunk-like). I tried scraping it off with my fingernail and only parts of it came off. My lips aren’t chapped at all, so I can’t use that as an excuse. It also settled into the lines on my lips. I’m so disappointed because I had such high hopes for this product. My lips now look like I was sucking a popsicle. Not cute at all.

The UPS man brought me a treat today and it is called Stunt ! Yay ! After reading some of the reviews I was a little concerned about how it was described as being quite purple. I nervously slicked it on and it was Beautiful ! Not purple on my lips and I have alot of pigment in my lips. It enhanced the plum of my lips, almost gave my cheeks ( sans blush ) a nice pink glow and brought out the green in my hazel eyes ! This effect was enhanced by wearing Chanel eyeliner in cassis. Overall- Stunt worked very well for my olive/ hazel coloring and of course being a RA Laque was extremely comfortable to wear! Thanks to you, miss Temptalia for giving me the courage to order without trying on first! I agree with what you said about Chanel needing to add more color choices to the Laques, need more plum colors perhaps with a little more sheerness to them πŸ™‚ As Always – love your blog!

I was feeling pretty depressed tonight and happened to pass by a chanel counter and remembered how beautiful your reviews were and ended up buying coromandel. i was suprised it doesn’t show up orangey at all on me more of a blood red. the only thing that has disappointed me is that the bottom lip seems to bleed on to my skin. have you ever had that happen? still love it and plan to buy stunt this weekend!

To your knowledge has Chanel ever reintroduced limited edition colors, I recently received Stunt and I absolutely love it, I tried to go back online and order a back up and low and behold IT’S GONE!!

I’m sure they have, but I can’t really recall specific instances. They definitely don’t seem to bring things back very quickly, if they do. πŸ™

I’m so bummed this sold out already. I saw some on a private eBay sale for over $46

I always get so bummed when people buy Limited Edition things to sell, not enjoy (like the MAC Bad Fairy) ;_;

Eureka, I found it! This color has been sold out online for weeks; however the Soho Collection was recently released at all US Chanel boutiques that carry cosmetics. Call your local boutique and see if they have any in stock, or you can call Chanel customer service and they can direct you to a local boutique that has stock. That’s what I did and the Chanel rep was kind enough to direct me to the boutique in Beverly Hills and San Fransisco, low and behold all this time both boutiques carried the Soho Collection, yes! So I ran over today and stocked up! Now I won’t be at the mercy of ebay scalpers, yeah!

I found this at my local Nordstrom Chanel counter! I had been trying for over a month to find this after it sold out online and I called boutiques that didn’t call me back or asked for people at counters/stores that I was referred to and they were never there and never called me back.

Anyway, I am happy with this color! I don’t understand why people have been saying/asking about the color being so purple! Now that it is at the counter, you can try it on before buying!

my lips are much darker than yours so Stunt comes up as a a deeper mauve on me, but OMG it’s to dieee for. First RAL and i’m very sure it won’t be the last!

Also, check out Benefit La La Land (see Temptalia’s review). In person the actual color is darker than photographed, keep in mind it’s not a dupe, but it’s pretty close (in color and formula) and a nice alternative if you can’t get your hands on Stunt. Would you agree Christine?
