Chanel Rouge Allure Gloss ($34.00 for 0.20 fl. oz.) is supposed to have the “color intensity of a lipstick with the lacquered shine of a lip gloss” while having a hydrating, long-wearing formula. The color goes on fairly evenly and smoothly, though I get a little settling with these lighter shades, and have semi-opaque to more opaque color coverage. There is a noticeable glossiness that’s more than the shine you might get with a more luminous lipstick. These have a floral scent, though I didn’t notice any taste, and they are lightly tacky. The texture is lightweight without being thick or goopy, so it is comfortable to wear. For me, they’re only slightly hydrating over time with slightly longer-than-average wear (for lighter shades like these).

Chanel Sensuel (11) Rouge Allure Gloss ($34.00 for 0.20 fl. oz.) is a peachy brown with a very fine gold shimmer. It had semi-opaque color coverage and applied evenly overall, but there was slight settling into lip lines. I don’t think it’s noticeable except magnified/up-close. Chanel Exotique (12) Rouge Allure Gloss ($34.00 for 0.20 fl. oz.) is a brightened, tangerine orange with faint golden orange micro-shimmer. It had semi-opaque pigmentation applied to the lips, and there was some light settling into lip lines. This one wore well for four hours on me. MAC Grand Pumpkin (LE, $15.00) is lighter. Chanel Sensible (15) Rouge Allure Gloss ($34.00 for 0.20 fl. oz.) is a light-medium, yellow-toned pink with warm undertones and very faint micro-shimmer. It looks more coral on the applicator than applied, where it seemed to look pinker. This color didn’t apply as evenly as the other two, and it did have very faint settling in places.
