Chanel Icone (55) Rouge Coco Lipstick ($34.00 for 0.12 oz.) is described as a “golden beige.” It’s a peach-brown with a golden shimmer and a soft, pearly finish. It had mostly opaque color and lasted four and a half hours on me. NARS Peloponesse is more matte, darker. NARS Isola Bella is lighter, satin. MAC Posh Tone is lighter, less shimmery/ MAC Delectable is less shimmery. MAC Freckletone is less shimmery. MAC Cozy Up is lighter, satin.

Mystique (57) Rouge Coco Lipstick ($34.00 for 0.12 oz.) is described as an “apricot.” It’s a warm-toned, light-medium coral with a hint of reddish-pink. The finish is a noticeable sheen and reflective quality. It had mostly opaque color payoff, and it wore well for four hours. Urban Decay Liar is darker, pinker. Chanel Interlude is slightly softer. MAC Style Surge is more opaque, brighter. MAC Razzledazzler is slightly pinker. Burberry Devon Sunset is more muted. See comparison swatches.

The Rouge Coco formula is lightly creamy, somewhat hydrating, and wears about average. They’re supposed to have “full-coverage” with finishes that vary from “matte to pearl to soft shimmer.” Both of these were mostly opaque, but there was a slight translucency that was apparent. It’s actually what gave them a lighter look once applied. These shades are new (and permanent!) for fall.
