Chanel Fantastic (66) Le Blush Creme de Chanel
Chanel Fantastic (66) Le Blush Creme de Chanel ($38.00 for 0.09 oz.) is described as a “burgundy.” It looks like a deeper, plummy red in the pan, but applied, it takes on a pinky-plum coloring with a natural, not-quite-matte finish. It has cool, bluish undertones. If you worried that Chanel Affinite would be too similar, it is lighter and warmer. Tom Ford Narcissist is similar but shimmery (and a powder). Burberry Hydrangea Pink is slightly redder and a powder product. See comparison swatches.
The color payoff is fantastic (ha, ha) with rich, full color coverage that’s buildable and blendable. It’s easy to go overboard, so use a light hand and less than you think you’ll need. The consistency is lightly creamy and almost turns to a powdery feeling as soon as it hits the skin, but it’s not truly a powder. It remains lightly blendable and is very easy to sheer out and soften along the edges while maintaining even coloring. I could see this shade working well across all skin tones. When I wore this, the blush lasted a full nine hours without fading, and even after ten hours, there was only very slight signs of fading.

Adorable!
WOW! What a colour! I am almost breathless just looking at it. I daresay this is one you have to be careful with so you don’t end up looking like you’re running a raging fever!
Of any of the shades I’ve seen reviewed, this one has me the most excited. I really want to try one of them and I think that this is going to be it.
I think it would look great on you!
Gorgeous it isssss
Love this shade!
what do you have on your lips?
Chanel Icone
This color is so pretty on you. Lovely!
Thanks a lot, Beth!
This is beautiful! I have jars cactus flower, do you think it’s similar? This one looks more cool toned?
Cactus Flower is definitely a lot warmer and brighter!
Ach! I just bought one of the Dior creme blushes. Hmmmm any idea how I can justify getting this one, too?
This isn’t helping my list 😀
What kind of a brush would you suggest using with this formula? It looks great, but I’m not entirely sure how I’ll apply it. Generally I use powder brushes with an ordinary blush brush or stippling brush, and I’ll apply cream blushes with my fingers.
Hi Natalie,
I use a stippling/duo-fibre brush – I used six different ones, and they all worked fine!
I purchased this blush last weekend at Nordstrom and I love it. Too bad this shade isn’t part of their permanent line.
I love this blush 🙂 it might be the one be the one that I buy.
Oh, your complexion turns more chocolate now, guess you have a wonderful summer this year.
Do you think people can use a lipstick or a blush interchangeably?
I haven’t tried it as a lip product!
Oh my gosh this is SO PRETTY. WHY AREN’T I RICH
This color is simply gorgeous. You look lovely in it and now I want it too! 🙂
Christine how similar is this to mac’s keep it casual lip and cheek color?
This is way brighter and bolder!
Hi, nice color! Could these blushes be applied by finger? I am a little confused by the “creme” in the title. In the pan they look like powder. Thank you.
Yes, they could be applied with fingers – they are cream blushes!
