The Vitality Cheek Stain formula is supposed to combine the long-wear of a stain with the ease of application of a powder. The brand says it will give a “naturally pretty flush of color … [and] that lit from within glow.” Pretty in Peony is intensely pigmented with a soft, velvety consistency that feels like a really smooth, buttery powder. A little goes a long way, so if you tend to be heavy-handed or have fairer skin, you’ll want to be sure to use less and build up (and a stippling or feathery brush should help!). It applied evenly, smoothly, and blended fairly easily on bare skin as well as over liquid foundation. There is a fair amount of sheen, though, and I felt like it did slightly emphasize pores along my cheeks. The color wore well for ten hours, though, which was impressive.
