I really wish I were this effortlessly chic!  I want the berry eyeshadow baaad and had it in my Nordie’s cart, but Burberry is one of those cannot ship to Canada thingees 🙁  Hopefully, I will nab a few of these products at a later date.

xamyx Avatar

What about Saks, or Burberry’s site? Do they deliver to Canada? I also remember reading somewhere (a random blog I came across) that Burberry cosmetics are now being sold in Canada.

wwendalynne Avatar

xamyx Yes, Burberry has been sold in Canada for awhile, but an exclusive arrangement with a specific department store which is in the city. I hate going into the city..hate battling traffic, hate trying to find a damn parking spot.. hate all the people. It’s too much overload for me and I’ve lost my city gameface being away from it for 6 years. Saks is the same as Nordies.. won’t ship this brand to Canada. I will check and see if a Burberry site ships to Canada similar to Nars which has it’s own Canada site… Woot Woot! Thanks chica!

xamyx Avatar

Also, Harrod’s in the UK might? If Illamasqua does, Harrod’s may. Of course, there’s that blasted shipping cost… The department store in Toronto doesn’t ship?

xamyx Hey..was just thinking about you and your comments on the Estee Lauder Fall 2012 promo picture..  I don’t know anything about YSL eye shadows, but they have the most beautiful palette on eBay right now which gives me a similar vibe.. not the same colours..just the vibe.  Anyhow, it’s a BIN or OBO and based on your description of your skintones, I thought it might be something that would look amazing on you.  Are you on FB and I can send you a link?Oh, and I have never actually called about shipping..that’s just too modern to pick up the phone.  *grin*  I’m such a dork.

xamyx Just joined Burberry website and it looked promising only to find the details once I started ‘shopping’.. trade agreement prevents them from shipping cosmetic items to Canada.  It’s that damn Holt Renfrew store.. the only department store in Cannuckville to carry some of the high end and really high end stuff.  I love the store, but hate the type of people in it.  My best bet now is to ask for shipping..

I am in love with the entire look of the model … Sadly, I know something or a bunch of things have been airbrushed. None-the-less, I will be awaiting reviews and lushing over pics 🙂

Very pretty, but I’ll probably pass. There isn’t a Burberry counter at any of the malls I frequent, so I haven’t been bitten by the “Burberry Bug”, yet. I’ll likely make more of an effort to track down a counter once I whittle my list down a bit more (I have only a handful of items left). That berry eyeshadow is gorgeous, though, and the Midnight Blue is something I’ve been wanting to check out.

I love the model’s eyebrows and her gorgeous eyes. The whole look is so chic, despite the faint Olsen Twins vibe that I get from her.

xamyx Kafka :  Dudettes:  I found some of my print work from the 80’s and posted a couple of pictures to my Flickr..  Harald and I are sitting here dying laughing ..  Avril and Mariel are much better, but it’s the lips..those damn Olsen twins lips..damn.  She still looks phenomenal and I love her eyebrows…I covet her eyebrows!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

xamyx Avatar

Yes, the eyebrows are fierce! Is it just me, or does it seem the Fashion Gods are trying to bring back the 80s? All of these recent promo pics, NARS’ New Wave palette, all the neon lippies & polishes, the makeup shades in general; I don’t know if I should be excited, or afraid, LOL.

xamyx I’m getting totally down with deja vu .. and I agree.  They have been ever so slowly weaning us into it. Think about it..  the pointy little boots, only now they are not as pointy.  The tights.  Bigger hair..  It’s only a matter of time and resistance is futile.  We did it before..we can do it again and laugh like hell about it again too.

*flails* new Burberry products! I don’t need *all* the lipsticks…and the foundation…and the eyeshadows. Do I? (okay, I want at least two out of the three lipsticks, and the foundation. Less sure about the eyeshadows.)

blueraccoon Avatar

wwendalynne but I already have products from Chanel, and I want at least one of the Guerlain Rouge G L’Extraits and one of the blush duos, and now this, and…my wallet is only so big! *meeps*

wwendalynne Avatar

blueraccoon Oh man, I know..this month has been brutal and it is like this for me every year.  Not only for cosmetics, but also for fall/winter fashions.  I rarely wait for September because by then whatever I have been eyeballing is already sold out; particularly boots.  I have a serious boot fetish.  Which two of the lipsticks are you looking at?  I really like the mid toned rosey shade, sepia pink, of which I already have too many so I’m safe.  I also like the lighter shade nude rose, but I’m not that keen on the bronze, but it might look amazing on, just not so much in the tube.  I tend to like bronze lips on blondes and I’m dark, almost black haired.

Kafka Avatar

blueraccoon  Are you keen on a matte foundation that sound like it will be full coverage? Or something that sounds like hydrating, shimmery primer? If not, then you can save that money and put it towards all the eyeshadows. To me, the dark sable brown one sounds interesting. And I think you like the regular Trench, so perhaps the gold version will be great too? Oh, and you absolutely need all the lipsticks!! You do, you do, you do!!!Erm… I’m not helping you much, am I?  <grin>

blueraccoon Avatar

Kafka The primer sounds interesting but I didn’t think it was new – I’ve seen it on Nordstrom’s website for a while. I’m not sure about the foundation, though. I have two tinted moisturizers, a powder foundation, and a liquid that’s medium-full coverage but isn’t a matte finish. I wouldn’t mind a matte finish, honestly, so I think I may ask to try it on and see how I do. I don’t actually own any Burberry eyeshadows but I need to change that *g* And yeah, I probably do need all the lipsticks. *sigh* So many pretties, and yet it’s really a tiny collection. No new blushes or anything!

I’m such a sucker for the way Burberry does the eye makeup in their ads.  Without fail, I always go home and try to replicate the look, then sob inwardly when I realize it won’t work on hooded eyes.
I am loving that Nude Rose lipstick, but I’m determined to get Claret before I go after anything else by them.  🙂

Becca @The Beauty Sample Avatar

FINALLY–a foundation from Burberry for us combination/oily skinned girls 😀 I have been waiting for this–everything else from their line was always “luminous” and “dewy”. This one sounds beautiful! I am definitey grabbing one–I just hope they have a shade to match me…

Melissa Gregory Avatar

These eyeshadows look luscious & I’m a sucker for velvety, fine-milled shadows; very willing to purchase fewer colors@greater cost instead of many (I’ve learned from buying too many that look wonderful@the counter, but sit stacked & rarely used in my growing make-up drawer). Am needing a light gray or satin silver shadow. Have you viewed or tried Burberry in Pearl Grey? Am trying to decide among Cle de Pleau #114,the Chanel black/gray or YSL black/gray duos. And what about the grey in the palette #207 from Cle de Pleau…
