Best & Worst of MAC x Padma Lakshmi Collection

MAC x Padma Lakshmi Collection
MAC x Padma Lakshmi Collection

Here’s a recap of how well the MAC x Padma Lakshmi Collection performed. Unsurprisingly, MAC’s lipsticks topped the list, and my personal favorite from the collection was Sunset Rose lipstick.

I reviewed the products I had, but there are some additional items that I didn’t have, which you can see a list of in the launch post.

Somehow I wound up buying 3 lipsticks: Mittai Pink, Blue Blood and Apricot Gold, plus the Nefertiti Cremesheen glass and an eyeliner duo, but not even ONE single compact product! Weird, since I was so pumped for the packaging on the compacts. But I go for quality 99% of the time over presentation, and the better of the two e/s quads just didn’t appeal to me color wise.

This is quite a reasonable collection – no real absolute fails like we have seen in the past. The shades in the quads are co-ordinated and the lipsticks are lovely. This is the right size for a collection I think.
Thank you for the reviews.

I really am loving the look of the new Padma line. When my DH was still here he was a big Padma fan! Gorgeous lady. The Desert Dusk e/s quad and the Bordeaux/Mole brown eyeliner duo look particularly interesting! The pale blue shade in the DD quad looks stunning. (Shades like that make me long for blue eyes!) The bordeaux looks so rich, like it would flatter any eye shade. Once again, am loving these retro looks!! We’ve not really seen shades like this for a long time and it is so refreshing.
