Becca Lowlight Sculpting Perfector ($38.00 for 0.28 oz.) is a medium-dark, subtly warm-toned brown with a hint of gray and a semi-matte finish. MAC Aphrodite’s Shell (LE, $33.00) is less brown, less gray, lighter. MAC Sculpt (P, $16.50) is less yellow. MAC Coffee Walnut (LE, $20.00) is darker. It’s described as “an adaptive contouring cream that combines the warmth of skin-authentic undertones with natural-looking shadows for a sculpted look.” For those who want a forgiving contour that can be applied softly, you may enjoy Becca’s take on it. The creamy nature of the product makes it very easy to blend on the skin, so there are no harsh or obvious edges, and if you feel like it’s too dramatic, you can easily sheer it out further. It’s moderately pigmented, but the coverage is buildable, so one layer won’t give you the kind of color you see in the pan. The consistency is lightweight, non-tacky, and dries down and seems to set fairly well. On me, it lasted about seven hours before starting to separate slightly. I think it’s best for light to medium complexions, as even when layered, it is a subtle product against my skin tone (which is about medium).
