Ardency Inn Copper MODSTER Manuka Honey Enriched Pigments
Here are the last four shades of Ardency Inn MODSTER Manuka Honey Enriched Pigments ($21.00 for 0.06 oz.). You can see the full range here if you missed any past reviews! 🙂 I’ve been incredibly impressed by the texture, color payoff, and wear with the majority of the shades.
Ardency Inn Copper MODSTER Manuka Honey Enriched Pigments ($21.00 for 0.06 oz.) is described as a “bronze pearl with metallic gold.” It’s a rich, brightened copper with warm undertones and a frosted, metallic finish. The consistency was creamy, buttery, and smooth with intense color payoff. This shade still looked immacuate after ten hours of wear. This is an extremely dupable shade, though. Tarte Candlelit Dinner (LE) is less frosted. Make Up For Ever ME728 Copper Red (P, $21.00) is lighter. LORAC Nude #2 (LE) is lighter. Marc Jacobs Beauty The Siren #3 (LE) is less shimmery. Kat Von D Dog Roses (LE) is less shimmery. Tarina Tarantino Wonderful #3 (P) is lighter. Tarina Tarantino Amber (P) is yellower. MAC Exquisite Ego #2 (LE, $21.00) is brrighter. LORAC Gold (P) is similar. Maybelline Breaking Bronze (P, $6.99) is lighter. NARS Isolde #1 (P, $24.00) is less shimmery. MAC Amber Lights (P, $15.00) is similar. bareMinerals Louder (LE) is similar. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
Ardency Inn Rose Gold MODSTER Manuka Honey Enriched Pigments ($21.00 for 0.06 oz.) is described as a “metallic rose with warm golden reflects.” It’s a warm-toned, golden plum with rose and mauve tones to it, and it has a soft, frosted finish. The color payoff was excellent, while the texture was so soft and blendable. The color lasted for ten hours before showing signs of fading. I think this shade is harder to dupe, because it’s not quite brown, but it’s not pink or mauve. bareMinerals Catch Me If (P) is much cooler-toned but has a similar finish. NARS Dolomites (Left) (LE, $24.00) is cooler-toned, pinker. MAC Pink Sensibilities #1 (LE, $21.00) is browner. Urban Decay Liar (P, $18.00) is brownre. Makeup Geek Twilight (P, $5.99) is pinker. MAC Smokeluxe #3 (P) is darker, browner. Disney by Sephora Chateau (LE) is darker, browner. theBalm Just This Once Jamie (P, $16.00) is cooler-toned, less golden. Giorgio Armani #7 (P, $33.00) is pinker. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
Ardency Inn Disco MODSTER Manuka Honey Enriched Pigments ($21.00 for 0.06 oz.) is described as a “sparkly smoky grape with silver reflects.” It’s a muted, medium-dark warm-toned purple with a frosted sheen and silver sparkle. It had semi-opaque color coverage, and it had a creamier (almost wet-like) texture that was thinner than other shades in the range (but similar to Vintage Gold). It wore well for nine hours before fading slightly. MAC Plumluxe #3 (P) is lighter. NARS Jardin Perdu (Right) (LE, $24.00) is cooler-toned. Too Faced Nashville (P, $16.00) is lighter. MAC Pearled Earth (P, $15.00) is similar. Too Faced Candied Violet (P, $16.00) is warmer. Too Faced Bluff (LE, $16.00) is lighter. MAC Black Grape (P, $21.00) is more sparkly. theBalm Lavish Latoya (LE, $16.00) is brighter, lighter. Urban Decay Rapture (LE, $18.00) is similar. MAC Winterized (LE, $21.00) is less shimmery. MAC Frost at Midnight (LE, $21.00) is darker. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
Ardency Inn Peacock MODSTER Manuka Honey Enriched Pigments ($21.00 for 0.06 oz.) is described as a “deep cool brown with extreme turquoise reflects.” It’s a reddish-brown base with a cool-toned, green-teal shimmer on top–it is a duochrome that we have seen often (pretty, though!). The quality is top notch with rich, intense pigmentation and a soft, buttery texture. It lasted for ten hours on me. Kat Von D On the Road (P, $16.00) is greener. NARS Malacca (P, $24.00) is less shimmery. Fyrinnae Boot Season (P, $6.80) is greener. Makeup Geek Insomnia (P, $6.99) is similar. MAC Woodsmoke (LE, $15.00) is darker, less shimmery. MAC I’ve Got a Crush on You (LE, $32.50) is similar. (Also, consider MAC Blue Brown pigment, Too Faced Label Whore, etc.) See comparison swatches / view dupes.

Am I completely insane, given that I have dupes of every shade in this line, but I still want 10 of them…?
I think the first set I pick up will be: Orchid, Royal, Heaven, Hell, and Disco. I think Disco is my absolute favorite!
LOL! I feel like if the quality is a major upgrade, it might be worth it, but if you REALLY have near-identical dupes that you love, you can resist!
I’ll have me some Disco with a bit of Peacock please! Two stunning shades.
They are pretty!
Your reviews and swatches of these have convinced me that I absolutely need more than one! Now I’m just trying to narrow it down… Not an easy task!
Good luck narrowing it down 😉
Thanks for the dupes..the two shadows I was interested in–Rose Gold and Disco–are pretty much covered by Jardin Perdu and Dolomites which I picked up for Fall 2014. I am smitten with the lightest shade in the dolomites palette (rose gold here). It looks so kick ass on the lid..perfect shimmer that looks almost wet.
No problem, Wendy! 🙂
Dang it, now there’s three of these I want!
Uh oh!!
There are so many shadows out there that claim to be Rose Gold, even if it isn’t the name of the shadow, the description states that. I am addicted to any and all things rose gold (jewellery, makeup, whatever), and I can honestly say that this is the ONLY cosmetic product I have ever seen that is a true rose gold. Yep, I’m getting me this puppy.
YAYYYYY! 🙂
Rosegold and Disco are nice! Rosegold looks like my Armani Eyes to Kill Intense in 28, Red Platine (mine has more rosy tones than most, I think).
Ooh, nice to know! 🙂
I should have added Rose Gold and Disco to my last Sephora order. So pretty!
Rose Gold… so lovely and interesting.
Peacock reminds me of one of the shades in wet n wild’s comfort zone palette. I guess I know what I’m wearing tomorrow!
There is some similarity to that one for sure!
I like all four, but Rose Gold and Peacock are my faves!
Love Rose Gold!
At first I was so shocked to see a B grade on one of these! But then I kinda got it with the swatch of Disco. I love Peacock though, it reminds me of like a reverse of Girly from Too Faced!
It’s at least workable on the lid, but the difference is noticeable when you go from say Peacock to Disco!
I love Peacock! I’ve wanted l most of the A+ shades in this range, but Peacock might make me bite the bullet and order from Sephora to the UK.
Let me know if you end up giving in! 🙂
I don’t know why your website doesn’t want me to log in today, lol! And it won’t let me see the eye looks that you created either. Instead I get boxes with question marks. Is it on vacay?? Anyway, I am dying to try Ardency Inn and maybe copper and rose gold — the 2 favorite shades for this redhead — would be the place to start!
Pictures are fixed! 🙂
Don’t know why you can’t log in, though 🙁
Thank you for the swatches! I was debating the rose gold.
No prob, Phyrra!
The packaging looks a lot like MAC!
There are some similarities, but it is a magnetic case and glossy black!
I need Rose Gold, Disco and Peacock! Peacock looks like an amped up Club from MAC.
Definitely in the same vein as Club! 🙂
I just saw the swatches and declared ‘I NEED Rose Gold and Peacock’. And then I saw the price. Maybe in my dreams I’ll make enough change to afford one. For now I’ll be skimming the lists of dupes.
Hopefully one of the dupes helps you out in the meanwhile 🙂
I am so in love with the Peacock shade. I can’t get enough of these types of duo chrome shades. Also, I believe Too Faced Label Whore is now called Petals to the Metal. 🙂
Thanks, Nicolle! Good to know!
These are SO gorgeous. I wasn’t expecting to like Rose Gold but it’s stunning, as is Peacock (which explains why I have 3 or 4 dupes for that one). Although it’s sold at Sephora, Ardency Inn isn’t available in Canada (in store nor online). So frustrating but perhaps good for my spending habits!
I wonder if they’ll expand to Canada first, since they’re already in Sephora.
You can order these online from Sephora if you live in Canada!
Jill, when I last looked, they weren’t shown on the Canadian Sephora site (mind you, Cake Beauty isn’t shown on the Canadian site either and they’re a CANADIAN COMPANY, for crying out loud). My issue is I pretty much have to see, test, feel…that’s part of my makeup buying joy/experience. Rarely will I purchase online and then, only if it’s a repurchase or something that was sold out at the counter but I had a chance to try the tester….
I swatched these in Sephora in Vancouver today, they’re in Canada
Ooh that Rose gold *swoons* Theyre all so pretty but that Rose Gold has me going ooooh aaaaaaah!
It is gorgeous!!
Rose Gold is going on my list!
It is divine!!
HELLO DISCO!
*dances*
The more I look at the packaging, the more I really like it.
Yay!
These are really beautiful, useful colours. Yes I probably have them already, but I want these!
Rose Gold though… that one is more unique to me!
Disco and Rose Gold look amazing!!
They’re both lovely shades!
Ooh love Rose gold!!
It’s SO pretty! Seriously!
These are gorgeous! I love Copper and Peacock
They’re so rich!
i want them all !
T–T
Uh oh!
I’m loving Rose Gold and Peacock. All are very pretty, though. This brand looks like a winner.
These are the first products I’ve really loved from the brand!
Wow that rose gold shade! Absolutely gorgeous. Your swatches have just convinced me to place the order…had a bunch of these modster pigments just waiting in my basket 😉
I cannot even tell you how lovely Rose Gold is!
Ok, I’m getting Rose Gold. And probably Disco. Even though I already own NARS Dolomites!
I’m obsessed with Rose Gold!
0_o Rose gold and Peacock are the standouts for me here, but I wouldn’t say no to Disco 😉 Wish it was a little more intense!
If Disco was more intense… I assume it’s something to do with the finish, but compared to the others, it’s just noticeably less impressive!
Rose Gold is so pretty. I like Peacock too.
Agreed 😀
I think Inglot’s loose eyeshadow in #85 might be an near exact dupe for peacock. It also has a reddish borwn base though I’m not sure if the teal sheen is more or less green. It’s cheaper per ounce but it’s not conveniently pressed 🙁
Thank you, Anna! 🙂
