Zoya Hazel Nail Lacquer
Zoya Hazel Nail Lacquer

Zoya Hazel Nail Lacquer ($9.00 for 0.50 fl. oz.” is described as a “full-coverage, blue green foil metallic.” This is a silvery-blue foil metallic with flakes of dirty gold in it. I don’t have anything quite like it, and the only polish that even was reminiscent of it was Zoya Crystal with is much bluer.  I always love when I come across a color that I haven’t see done before (or, even if only done a few times).

Hazel was fully opaque in two coats of polish, and the finish was metallic and foil-like.  The consistency wasn’t too thick or too thin, and it didn’t streak, pool, or bubble during application.  It was incredibly easy to apply, and the drying time was somewhat faster than average.  All in all, this was a superb polish and really Zoya at their best.  I normally get a week of wear out of Zoya’s formula with minor tip wear but no chipping.

All in all, this was a superb polish and really Zoya at their best. It's even better because the color is unique (to me), which makes it harder to dupe.

  1. Wow so shiny!! Zoya polishes are so awesome!

  2. I get the feeling that the pictures here really dont do this color justice I cant wait to find it somewhere around me. Is this part of a collection? Finding new zoya’s in Ulta’s around me is really hit or miss if its not a major release.

    • This is part of their summer collection!

      • It’s funny because Zoya’s corporate headquarters is only about an hour drive from where I live you’d think it would be easier to find.

    • Quinctia

In my experience, if your Ulta carries Zoya and gets in the collections, it will eventually get this one! But, if your Ulta is like mine, it’ll take them awhile to get it in and put it out. The Zoya collections seem to come in slower than the CG or OPI ones. Though that might just be my perception because I actually care about the Zoya collections!

      • Mine hasnt gotten the collection yet. They have 2 pixie dust displays though. Sigh. I ordered the must haves from Zoya and I will cross my fingers on finding the rest in a store so I can actually see them with my own eyes. Christine always influences me on whether too buy or not but I still like to see/touch them cause monitors and cameras lie!

  3. Positively space age.. I love it! I need it!

  4. I like the gold silver mix, looks good! :)

  5. Love this color! It reminds me of outer space.

  6. Hazel

It’s pretty. I don’t know if I would wear it. I certainly don’t understand why it is called Hazel.

  7. Katie

The bottle makes it seem like it would be a holo…. Sad face! Not gonna lie, its freaking gorgeous and I’m gonna end up owning it anyway, haha.

I find it interesting that its priced at $9. Do you think Zoya will now be increasing their prices?
Beautiful color, but I expected it more of a holo from the bottle.

    • Most brands do increase their prices over time – Zoya doesn’t seem to do it very often (I remember them being $8 for a really long time)!

  9. dmwolfy

I LOVE Zoya nail polishes. Thank you for posting photos of this color, I was so looking at this one, so now I know I want it even more!

  10. Such an unusual, but pretty color. It reminds me of Zoya Fei Fei, enough that I won’t purchase it. I like it though :)

    • I came to check to see if anyone mentioned FeiFei too because it’s one of the few Zoya polishes I have and it does seem fairly similar. Such a neat polish! :)

    • I actually picked up Fei Fei instead of this one because I liked that one a little better when compairing online pictures but I think I still might want to compair the 2 when my local ulta gets Hazel in.

  11. This is really striking, and I haven’t seen anything like it before. I love it.

  12. May 13th p.m. FYI for those in Canada: This collection in addition to the summer pixie dusts just hit nailpolishcanada.com. There are discounts for full collection purchases and polish points allotted on each purchase for future freebies. On-line service is fast and reliable. I am not affiliated with the site, just passing on a really good on-line retailer.

  13. This is such a stunning, intensely sparkling shade–I LOVE it! It’s so icy and sophisticated for being so shiny. I need this one!

  14. Efflorescence

looks almost identical to O.P.I’s Reflecting Pool – a cursory google search for a swatch comparison shows that they are in fact dupes. Still pretty, though.
