My fave is a tinted moisturiser type, I hate that heavy foundation feel, my absolute HG colour wise and texture wise is Prescriptives traceless tint level one, am most sad and annoyed as they shut down, hence I am on the hunt for the next HG..........any recs most welcome and appreiciated!!

I used to hate liquid foundation because I thought it felt too heavy but I completely changed my mind when I started applying it with a duo-fiber brush. Now I can apply it very evenly and it feels as light as a powder but with better coverage. During the winter, I mix it with a moisturizer and my skin looks great.

I use liquid most of the time, but I also like cream foundations. No matter what I do, I can't get my desired level of coverage from a powder foundation...I typically use powder foundations as my setting powder though.

I mostly use liquid, sometimes Cream (when I'm in a hurry) or powder (for very light coverage when I'm not doing anything special)

I use the OCC airbrush kit! You can't get better than airbrush ;)

Mac Studio fix powder....covers everything. I sponge it on in seconds and I'm good to go. No fussing and messing around with liquids and all that jazz.

my first foundation is liquid and i think it stays longer than any other foundations. tried Some-Kinda-Gorgeous by Benefit and don't really like how it looks on me. but i still use my studiofix for normal outings because i only use liquid foundations on special occasions when i want to feel extra beautiful :x

Mineral foundation :) Since I have a hard time matching my medium yellow-golden skintone. I would use liquid on occasion.

I still haven't found one of any kind that doesn't make me break out! Any suggestions for people w/ sensitive skin who are on prescription antibiotic acne meds?

I prefer (mineral) powder foundation. I have combo to slightly oily skin with a lot of redness and I find that (mineral) powder foundation covers this best. Liquid foundation just doesn't look good on me.

it just depends if i am in a rush, if so ill use powder, sometimes liquid if i feel like wearing it. and for liquid when i want my makeup to last longer or for any special occasions

I used to use MAC powders all the time and then tried loose mineral type powders over the summer. Then I was introduced to liquid foundation and I'm hooked!

I love using all types of foundations. It can sometimes depend on the weather, whether my skin feels dry or oily, or the type of finish I want. Either way, the makeup artist in me loves to see the different effects that can be achieved by using different products.

Powder! I'm actually using a loose powder right now, but I don't really care if it's loose or pressed as long as it's powder. I don't need a lot of coverage and powder is also quick and easy. Currently I'm using id Bare Minerals Matte and it's the first foundation that I like enough that I think I'll repurchase. I've also used Clinique Perfectly Real (liked it a lot but got bored) and MAC's MSF Natural. That one I stopped using because it didn't give me any shine control, which I wanted.

I was in love with MUFE HD foundation for a while, but then I switched off to Face & Body and I've been using it ever since. I think it's a liquid, but it has the coverage of a tinted moisturizer. *shrug* Whatever it is, I'm going to keep using it. It's great.

Same here. I'm on my third bottle of Face and Body foundation.

Liquid, definitely gives the best coverage that is especially easy to build from sheer to full coverage. I also like to mix my liquid foundation with moisturizer to lighten it up when I don't think I need the coverage but want to even my skin tone. It also gives a luminous look; however, I am getting to really like my MAC Loose MSF Foundation.

Has anyone tried Urban Decay's Surreal Skin Mineral Makeup?

The texture is nice but the color range is limited.

I started out using a liquid, but I felt like it was just too much, so I switched to a powder for every day use. I still bring out the liquid for special occasions, though.

Same here. I can use the powder one everyday with any kind of light, but if I need something else I use the liquid one.

i usually use my moisturizer w/ MSF natural but sometimes i use a tinted moisturizer under it

I have used cream and liquid but I do think the best are the powder ones. I think they are the best when it comes to look evenly on my skin without sinking into the pores.

In general I stick with liquid. But now, with my newly purchased 187 brush I also use it for the select moistureblend foundation, which has a creamy formula. The 187 is so quick and easy to use! Then just MSF Powder to set and I love that finish!

it depends alot on my skin, the weather and the time of year. Currently, I am switching it up with bare Escentuals Matte SPF 15; Hard Candy tinted moisturizer and now, I'll be adding MAC's Studio Stick SPF 15.

I prefer a liquid foundation, but I use powder foundations when I'm in a rush and want light coverage. I usually bring MAC Studio Fix for touch ups during the day.

I love my new nars sheerglow foundation, all I need is one little dot and it gives me amazing coverage.

I use liquid foundation only. Sometimes I will mix it with my moisturizer to make a tinted moisturizer, but my HD foundation is the only thing I buy!

I used to love liquid foundation until I was offered a Shiseido powder foundation this Christmas. I have been using it and I just love how it doesn't let my skin glow and how it looks like I'm wearing nothing at all. Feels so natural. Besides it has FPS 15, which is great 'cause my skin tone is really light and I get sun burns very easily.
