Being pale, BoA is great for a flushed, “Just came in from the cold” look, so I’d keep the rest of my makeup very simple and natural looking.

  2. ShockingBlue

I use this blush with SO MANY looks…it looks great when you are doing something natural, something dramatic. It’s universal!

I agree! This is quickly becoming my favorite blush because it looks great with soooo many different looks, at least on my skin tone (NC45).

If I have to list one, though, I’d say Amber Lights on the Lid, Flip in the inner corner, Cork in the crease, any brown liner, and a nude lip. The colors work great together.

  3. I’m wearing expensive pink and soba on my eyelid and vapour as a highlight under my brows and inner eyecorner. Strange potion on my lips. Bite of an apple blush.

  4. I love wearing this blush with Chanel Mademoiselle Rouge Coco and a bit of winged liner. A great, simple look for fall/winter.

  5. I used it recently with a neutral peachy/coral eye (using mac Coral Crepe pp. in the outer crease and Shiseido hydropowder H9, which is a light gold cream shadow, on the lid) and my beloved Mac CB95 lipstick.
Of course, being NC15, I need to use this blush with a dual fiber brush and a light hand!

  6. Since it is a very bright color, I usually wear it with very little color on the lid (I prefer beiges), black eyeliner, mascara, then Bit of an apple on the cheeks and lipstick of the same family color :)

  7. I would use it to create that all-over pink look that some of the models had at the Dior Autumn/Winter show for this year :) Superromantic! <3

I wear mine daily because i have olive skin, but normally i only wear blush with a semi-neutral eye. but i looovvvee this!

  9. Pale eyeshadow like MAC Jest with blacktrack fluidline eyeliner and mascara. Strange Potion or Lychee Luxe lipgloss!

I actually used Bite of an Apple for my Halloween costume. I was a Flapper girl. I applied my foundation and powder first. I did a nice black smokey eye using Carbon E/S all over the lid. I used Off the Radar Pigment in the Crease to bring out a reddish orange color and add warmth to the eye. I applied a thick line of Feline E/L and applied She’s Good Lashes (from Heatherette). I contoured my cheek with Smooth Harmony B/P and added a generous amount of Bite of an Apple Blush to give that over the top Halloween look. I penciled in my eyebrows black using Feline E/L and Carbon E/S. I wore Russian Red L/S and topped everything off with a beauty spot using Blacktrack Fluidline. Fabulous 20’s girl!

I would pack on a ton of Mac Carbon black eyeshadow on my lids, and then apply Mac Russian Red lipstick on my lips for a gothic look.

  12. Dani

Today I slept in so I used shroom all over the lid, omega in the crease, BoA on the cheek, and Strange Potion on the lips.

  13. Kathy

Neutral eyeshadow and brown eyeliner for the eyes, and Viva Glam Cyndi on the lips.

The VG Cyndi lipstick looks amazing with this blush! :)

  14. Pamela

I actually wore it today at school with a brown smokey eye(UD BOS2),mauvey brown lipstick and of course bite of an apple and it gives the cutest pop of color.

This blush is one if the best in my collection. I wear it with a bright lip, have done a simple eyeliner flick with the extravagant red lipstick from estee Lauder. Totally my autumn/winter look :)

Bite of an Apple looks like you’d get such a nice & natural flush, that you could pair anything with it. The first time I used it (if I could get my hands on one), I think I would go for a classic natural look with a bit of brown shadow (I’m away from home, so I don’t have all my makeup collection with me), my lips but better lip color, and maybe mascara.

  17. monika-luiza

pale skin, lots of black mascara, and venetian lustre glas only dabed on the lips with a finger

I can’t find the Venomous Villains collection on MAC’s website anymore. Why would they only sell it for 1 month?

I’m very fair (mac nc15/nw15, I can wear either) so I’ve been wearing BoA everday. I use josie maran tinted moisturizer, a little powder, BoA blush, and mac deelight cremesheen glass.

  20. Karen

I wear this with a semi dramatic look, natural e/s with black liner and mascara, and a lipstick similar in color and intensity to the blush. Sort of an Old Hollywood look.

  21. Yumi

My usual nude lip and MAC Groundwork paint pot for a natural look.

  22. Allison

I used it today with Heartless lipstick, blacktrack fluidline for a cat-eye, and the Urban Decay Naked Palette eyeshadows in Naked, Buck, Sin, and Virgin.

That’s really pretty! I’d probably go for a matte eye on myself, but this picture makes me wish Bite of an Apple didn’t get sold out here within a few minutes from the release. I wish they repromote this!

  23. Jessie Girl

Bite of an Apple is great for a Barbie Doll look.
For an everyday look, especially that is it Winter, I’d use Goldish Tan eyeshadow called Retro Speck, real simple all over the eyelid, or some pigment maybe TAN or SUNNY DAZE by MAC to be patted on the lid, use Buried Treasure to line top of the lid and rim the eye, put on Bite of an Apple, and maybe have a pinkish-purplish glossy lip but won’t over power the blush, place GONE ROMANCIN’ frmo the Tartan tale Collection — it is a dazzle creme, then line the lip with Whirl. Really pretty and simple.

I’m wearing it today! MAC Pro Longwear foundation & concealer, eyes done with Painterly Paint Pot & UD Naked palette (Virgin, Sin, Naked, Buck) and Blacktrack fluidline (with UD Darkhorse on top). Benefit Badgal mascara and then Bite of an Apple on the cheeks. Lips are done with MAC Innocence, Beware and Perennial high style lip gloss on top (perfect match for BoA!). Natural and cute!

  25. I’m wearing it today! Wedge on the lid, a bit of Swiss Chocolate in the crease. Bisque under the brow. Milani black liner topped with Smut to make it browner. BoaA on the cheeks, lip balm on the lips!

I saw this post this morning and thought I would try an “on the fly” look using Mac’s Bite of an Apple Blush before I went to work. Since the blush is so bright, I knew I had to keep my eyeshadow and lip colors pretty neutral. I took the second lightest eyeshadow shade of Clinique’s Teddy Bear quad and applied that to my eyelids. I then applied Mac’s Teddy Eye Kohl and Loreal’s Extra Volume Collagen Mascara in Black. For my cheeks, I applied Mac’s Bite of an Apple Blush. For my lips, I first applied Loreal’s Golden Splendor lipstick and then added Mac’s Monochrome Lipgloss (I believe this lipgloss was a limited edition color from a past Mac Collection, which I cannot recall the name right now). This made my lips match the blush, but made them standout. For a “on the fly” look, I think I did a pretty good job.

  27. I wore it today, actually! I used a light layer on the apples of my cheeks and highlighted with Mac Moon River Mineral Blush.

My eyes were Pen n Pink for highlight, Push the Edge on the outer crease and Mac Bough Grey on my lid. It was a little bit of a dark/smoky look for work but I was in the mood for it.

  28. Dami

I personally do a smokey with Vainglorious, Vile Violet and Her alter image. I use Vellum as the highlight colour. Blush on the bite Of An Apple on the cheeks (the apples of Truth and Light for highlighting. Yeah, it’s my Venomous Villains look.

  29. Angela

I usually do a flesh-tone eyeshadow, stained lips, and thick lashes. I like to keep it simple when I use this blush.
