What We’re Wearing, Vol. 057

Tarina Tarantino Jasper/Agate duo, Burberry Pale Barley, Tarina Tarantino Glamorous Thief.  It’s been such a hectic week, and my skin has been a wreck, I haven’t done much anything too crazy this week.

  1. I made this weak a make-up look for my mother :D, normally she don`t wear anything. I used products of Laura Mercier, Dr.Hauschka and Bobbi Brown.

  2. Amanda

Very simple look I wore yesterday

Eyes: MAC Nubile Paint Pot as base, On Lid MAC Motif, MAC Saffron blended in crease. Liner: Top and bottom lash line MUFE Aqua Liner in Gypsy.

    Face: Mac Bronzer in Golden

  3. Dominique

Very pretty look on your eyes !
This morning : just Tcha tcha Tint from Benefit and Paradis lipstick from Chanel
This afternoon : the BB cream from Clinique, a Sephora blush on my cheeks and a lipgloss from Nars called Coeur Sucré ( Larger than Life )

I love changing make-up, actually I never wear the same !

  4. For this week, my favorite look has to be when I actually wore NARS Mexican Rose out of my house lol. I toned my eyes down with NAKED2 (Verve on lid, Suspect to contour, and Snakebite in the outer v), lined them with MAC Added Goodness, and used some Tarte Exposed on my cheeks to keep Mexican Rose the star of the show!

I love Glamorous Thief on you! Such a nice blue xx

So many products used yet it looks like it could have been done with one.

    • Then just use one :) This is just what I used!

      • Joanna

        i like it christine!! :)

I don’t mean it as a criticism, but now that I reread it I see how it came across that way. As makeup noob, i just find it super intimidating when lots of products are used. I can’t tell where the colors go!

        • No worries – I was really just trying to say that you can always use less if you see less! Often, the look I wear is on-the-fly – so invariably, it’s easy to use more than you need if you were to do it a second time.

My favorite look I wore this week was MAC Painterly Paint Pot for a base, Urban Decay’s Sin all over the lid, dramatically winged out black liquid liner with MAC Plink! lipstick!

  7. Amy

Face: Maybelline Dream Mousse Blush in Pink Frosting mixed with Tarte’s Doll Face cheek stain
Eyes: Pastel yellow all over lid, pastel lime green outer 2/3 of lid, and darker but bright forest green on the outer 1/3 mixed with a bit of MUFE #93 blended slightly into crease. Medium line of Illamasqua’s Cream Pigment in Bedaub on the lower lash line with Tarina Tarantino’s Sparklicitt Pure Opal patted over it.
Lips: NYX Matte Lip Cream in Tokyo with a bit of Lancôme’s limited edition lipstick in Cotton Candy/Soft Marshmellow over the top to give it a bit of sheen.

  8. Jessica

MAC all that glitters e/s with cranberry in the crease, black eyeliner and mascara.

  9. I’m wearing colors from the POP Beauty Eye Cake in Mocha Eyes, with Savera Kajal and Hard Cany mascara.

  10. Most of this week has been spent adjusting to life as an accidental redhead and trying to figure out what from my stash works best with the new colour. But I did find some time to try out something that normally intimidates me- a blue/ turquoise eye combo.

I used mostly Mac shadows- Crystal Avalanche, Gorgeous Gold, Teal Blue, Electric Eel, Blue Edge and Freshwater- along with Rouge Bunny Rouge Periwinkle Cardinal and Stila Sparkle liner in Curcao. That sounds complicated, but it wasn’t, really.

I paired that with Mac Azalea Blossom blush ombre and Mac lipstick in Bubblegum. (I so loved the 2010 Spring Colour Forecast collection!)

We’re away for a few days and I wanted to bring minimal makeup – a Mac self-assembled quad, 1 blush, 1 pencil, 3 lippies. Today and yesterday I used Painterly for a base with Naked Lunch all over the lid and Mulch in the outer crease and on the outer lid. GOSH Metallic Brass liner, Mac Dollymix blush and Capricious on my lips. Quick, easy, nice looking (oh, I’m wearing Pur Minerals 4 in one powder foundation and Mac Prolongwear concealer as well)

  12. Veronica

I really like the way the royal blue stands out against the rest of the neutrals. Very pretty. :)

I went in overtime to cover an open shift at work tonight, so I wore something a little more complicated to spice it up:

Eyes: NARS Misfit Duo (neutral color worn on 2/3 of lid, green in the outer corner swooping into the crease), Urban Decay Virgin on brow, Maybelline Stiletto mascara on upper lashes only
Face: Maybelline Cream Mousse blush in Rose Petal with the barest hint of NARS Angelika underneath
Lips: Revlon Colorburst Lipgloss in Crystal Lilac

  13. Tiffany

do you think you could provide dupes, from more internationally available brands please? heaps of brands we cant get here in aussie! thanks

    • I provide dupes from any brands that I know of – but if I don’t have it listed, it means I don’t have any additional dupes to provide. I can only make suggestions about products I’ve actually tried :)

  14. Leann Mackay

i’ve been wearing the Jasper/Agate duo as well!! It is my new and holy grail eyeshadow duo! :) Love the pop of blue, I wanted to try it with purple eyeliner!

  15. I paired Urban Decay’s Free Love eyeshadow with MAC Passionate and MAC Rule. Made a really pretty combo!

  16. chloe

I love the look of the blue eyeliner!!!!!!

I have Urban Decays Deviant already and was wondering how they compare?
I have Urban Decay Covet already as well, and I have to give in to getting Spark Of Envy. You really make me weak with these posts.
I know you have made the comparisons before but I was wondering whats the main reason you seem to prefer these over the UD’s? That is if my assumption of your preference is correct.

    • You could probably skip! :)

These are more pigmented than UD!

      • Alejandra

I gave in.I bought both Spark of Envy and Glamorous Thief.I couldn’t help it, since I loved Sparkling Ammunition’s wear/color( waers better than UD in my case). Thanks for highlighting Tarina Tarantino.I honestly would have bypassed it if it weren’t for you.I also would have ignored Urban Decays El Dorado liner if it weren’t for your post’s.You are always so effective :)

  18. Mel

Eyes: TFSI, Fyrinnae Medieval Haunting on the lid, Fyrinnae Aztec Gold patted on the center of the lid, Inglot 49 above the crease, but just below the brow bone, Inglot 329 in the crease and outer v, KVD Peanut for a highlight, UD 24/7 liner in Zero, Lancome Hypnose Drama mascara

Lips: KVD Foiled Love Lipstick in Oh My Goth

Face: MAC Select Moisture Cover Foundation NC45, MAC Select Coverup Concealer NC45, MAC Select Sheer powder in NC55

It was about time I put use to some of those Fyrinnae pigments:)
