What We’re Wearing, Vol. 001

My favorite look from this week was using Guerlain’s Rue de Rivoli palette — the iridescent pink-gold shade all over the lid with a hint of fuchsia on the outer corner and the darker taupe-gray-plum shade in the crease.  I paired the eyes with a very sheer layer of Guerlain’s Blush G on the apples of cheeks and wore Chanel Baroque Rouge Coco on lips.

What was your favorite look you wore this week?

im on my first project pan at the moment, and the most important thing i wanna finish is my Amber Lights eyeshadow pot, its been in my collection for over two years now and i recently bought one in pan form.

So the most worn look this week has been Amber Lights on the lid, in the crease and on the lower lashline, with brule as a highlight and my Chanel Kohl in Ambré smudged and smoked out on the top lashline and on the waterline!

As for cheeks, ive been sticking to my favorite combo of this month, wich is: MSF natural in Dark to contour, Springsheen blush with Stereo Rose over it and Vanilla Pigment on top of the cheekbones! (All MAC)

    Lip Combo:

I recently bought an iredescent-light-lilac eyeshadow shade and I’ve been wearing it all week, together with baby pink blush and Korres Pomegranate lip butter

PS Excuse my bad English :)

The ligtest shade of guerlain rue des francs bourgeois on the lid the second shade combined with the gold of the neutral khaki revlon quad in the crease with the olive of the khaki neutral as a liner …. What a nice new category, Christine. I’m looking foreward to read some inspiration.

This week I wore no make-up. I was not in the mood for makeing me up in the morning. The only product I used once was Creme Cup lipstick by MAC.
Hopefully this mood will chance soon, because I have so many nice products, I like to wear.

    • Thanks, Nicole! I’ve been trying to think of some new weekly features for you guys, and I remembered how some of the most popular questions are about what readers are wearing on that day – so why not think about our fave looks of the week? :)

  11. Martina

Painterly paint pot as base, Mac sweet lust on the lid, hepcat in the crease (but just at the end of the eye) and shale to the second half of the lid, blended over hepcat. (I know that you don’t have time!)

Christine, I’d love to see a photo of this look! :)

Handwritten was my shadow of the week definitely! I love the texture!
I used it on the outer corner and the crease, Honey from UD Deluxe Palette on the lid, Shroom in the inner corner and Vanilla pigment as a highlighter. I also added a bit of Amber LIghts above the crease to blend Handwritten. :) looks better in a picture than when it’s described, though 😉

I did a holiday eye today that was super cute. I highlighted with a Smashbox pale taupe, then wore MAC Humid on the inner half of my eyelid and MAC Cranberry on the outer half, then put a was of Too Faced Blonde Ambition over the whole lid for a metallic gold look (with the red and green peeking out from below). Then, I added Urban Decay liner in Honey on the top and finished with green mascara. 😀

I kept the rest simple, with just a little By Candlelight highlighter on my cheeks and Viva Glam VI lipglass.

  16. luna

Mac- Jest,Woodwinked and Print. I’ve been addicted to this look all week. Plus I’m trying to do project 10 pan but it’s gonna be diffcult.

  17. leah

My fave look has been what I’m wearing today.

On the eyes, I’m using mac naked pigment on the lid, cork in the crease, and blended smoke/diamonds with carbon in the outer corners. Vanilla pigment as a highlight and blacktrack to line. I’ve been really like maybelline collasol lash lately.

My cheeks have springsheen with a little bronzer as a contour, and I’m using boy bait cremesheen as a gloss.

  18. Desiree

MAC Bare Study Paint Pot from lashline to browbone for some extra shimmer, MAC Sable lightly patted on the lid, MAC Deep Damson (my new favorite crease color, it sucks that it’s Pro only) in the crease, and Lancome Daylight eyeshadow as a matte highlight. Oh, and can’t forget black liner on tightline and mascara 😉

  19. Monica

im wearing UD Half-Baked and MAC Old gold pigment on the lid (the pigment layered over the shadow), with MAC Club and UD Buck in the crease, with MAC Vapour for the highlight. I lined my eyes with Buxom Lashliner in Sequins and wore Ardell wispies lashes.

cheeks are NARS Orgasm and Petticoat MSF, with a Superglass on my lips.

  20. Jazz

I didnt wear any makeup this week other than on sunday- blame it on me being unemployed

  21. Hannah

I used mainly brands which are exclusive to England so I’ll try and include descriptions :)
LID (all barry m) iredescent silver in the tearduct, baby blue on the majority of the lid (both self explanitory) and denim (a darker blue) on the very outer portion of the lid, all very shimmery and metalic
CREASE all pretty much matte…my contour colour as a base and a dark matte brown to deepen (like MAC espresso)
…and a matte colour to highlight
i went out and a MAC person said she liked my makeup and it was ‘really nicely done’ SCORE!

and Christine…could you start doing looks again? Your makeup always looks flawless and im always excited to see when you’ve done another look 😀

  22. Inga

Patina on lid, Mulch in crease, Brun as liner and Shroom as a highlight with lots of mascara. This is my special occasion look, a bit more and darker than I usually wear but not to much for me.

  23. Steph

For the first time in several years (since I discovered the joy of makeup) I stepped out without eyeshadow + liner + the occasional false lashes. Just some sunscreen, lipgloss and a touch of mascara. While it wasn’t my favourite look, it was certainly the most liberating.

  24. I’ve been wearing benefit cream shadow in flatter me all over the lid and into the crease a bit, with ud sin in the inner corner, ud toasted on outer lid, mac soft brown to blend out crease with yogurt as a highlight. Finish with ud liner on bourbon and tons of black mascara. Then on cheeks, it’s been benefit hoola to contour, ud fetish as blush, and mac by candlelight as highlight. On lips, I’ve been wearing us naked lipstick.

  25. Laurels

I saw this in a recent vid and had to give it a shot. Now, I can’t stop wearing this look everyday:
MAC Soft Ochre Paint Pot, Orb on the lid, Naked Lunch on the tear duct and brow bone, Soft Brown in the crease and Brown Script on the outer V, Black winged eyeliner with lots of mascara. I also have been wearing NARS multiple in Malaysia mixed with Smashbox Bronzelights in Suntan Matte plus a nude lip combo (it varies). My blush has been MAC Peaches and MAC MSF Skinfinish in By Candlelight.

  26. Diana

NARS Tokyo on the eyes, with Lancome Artliner in Noir to line and Armani Eyes to Kill on lashes. Guerlain Terracotta Bronzer to contour, and a little bit of Shu Uemura blush in Lust. To finish, Chanel Rouge Allure Laque in Phoenix.

  27. karen

    On my eyes:
inner lid – MAC Naked Pigment
centre of the lid – MAC gold mode pigment
    crease – MAC Espresso e/s
shroom to highlight brow bone and tear duct
    cheeks – Nars Orgasm
lips – Chanel Rouge Allure Laque in Genie
This look was very new years with all the gold and shimmer

  28. I sticked to smoky-eye look this week: Chanel’s Taupe Grise eyeshadow + Benefit’s Dallas on cheeks + some nude lips as MAC’s Velvet Teddy or Honeylove (a little bit of shaping and contouring with Benefit’s Cupid’s bow).

  29. Polly

Last night I was wearing Shu Uemura Reindeer kiss xxxx palette (from holiday set). It was amazing! The palette is so cute with high quality product.

I used creamy eyeshadow as base then silver shade all over my eye lid.
I put on mint blue shade on the outer corner and blend it in to the middle of the lid.
Then turquoise shade around lash line and defined my eyes with silver black glitter – Hyper Diamonds Liquid Liner from Maybelline! This eyeliner goes along so well with the eyeshadow.

I used dolly pink blush in the palette and Cle de Peau #106 on lips. Perfect match!

  30. My look for Christmas Eve was my favorite look for this week. I experimented and layered a bunch of colors on my eyes. First I used TFSI. Then I used MAC Courtley Grey on the outer 3/4 of the lid and crease. I used MAC Fairy Light on the inner 1/4 of the lid and blended it outwards, and put some on the browbone and blended it down to the crease. I then applied Fyrinnae Calavera Cupcakes to the lid and crease. Next, Fyrinnae Catrina Cabaret was applied to the crease and outer v. I put Fyrinnae Mischief Makers on the inner v and to blend out the edge of the upper crease. I next used MAC Knight Divine on the outer lid, followed by MAC silver Ring on the middle of the lid, and MAC Electra on the inner lid. I put MAC Vellum on the browbone to highlight and Meow Bustle on the outer v. I used Stila’s Smudge Stick in Peacock on the upper and lower lash line. It was such a neat look!

  31. Chelsea Forma

My favorite look this past week is NYC’s quad in “Chelsea Chic” it’s a good natural smokey eye look. With Covergirl lashblast and Bonnebell “Black Shimmer” eyeliner it comes out so pretty!

  32. Mar

I bought MAC Studio Sculpt foundation this week and I LOVE it.
It makes my skin look radiant and flawless without being an obvious layer on my skin. I love the combination of flawless skin, winged black liner and red lipstick; especially MAC’s Ruby Woo :)

  33. Marcela

Today i experimented with my new purchases from the MAC ChamPale collection and went all winter-shimmery. Eyes:Chilled on Ice paintpot all over my lids and browbone with a touch of Motif shadow on top of my lids (awesome goldish/peachy/pink shimmer explosion!), Feline eyeliner in the waterline and volumizing black mascara. Cheeks: MAC Prim & Proper blush with a light touch of Chez Chez Lame highlighting powder just on the apples of my cheeks
Lips: MAC Modesty lipstick with Bubble Lounge lipgelee on top
