I really love a cream-to-powder you can dab on with fingers, but have more control than a liquid and don’t have to worry about drying time. Unfortunately, I don’t think these are very common!

I find that if I don’t layer, it doesn’t last all day, so I use MAC cream color base in Shell with their Silver Dusk iridescent powder on top.

    • Jen

Ooh, that’s almost exactly what I do! Except I use Urban Decay Sin cream highligher instead of Shell. When I run out of UD, I’ll buy MAC Pearl, though :)

  3. “Other” because while my favourite highlighter at the moment is loose, I really have no preference between loose and pressed.

  4. Moni

I love Mac´s cream colourbase in Shell! perfecto for my colors

  5. I like to use a cream highlighter and then add a teeny bit of powder just to set it. I use MAC “Shel”l cream colour base and MAC “Silver Dusk” iridescent powder.

Jane Blushstix (in Shimmering Peach) is my all-time go-to gave highlighter. I also like Benefit’s liquid Hollywood Glo.

  7. S

My favorite is Dior Amber Diamond so I have to go with powder!

  8. I’ve never got to press “Other” before! Haha! I picked “Other” because my favorite cheek highlighter is a clear gloss. I like the look of highlighting with light reflection instead of with color. Looks more natural and sexier.

    • Adelita

I actually love the look of clear gloss as a highlighter, but darn it, it broke me out in hours and it takes weeks to heal! :(

  9. Stephanie

I stick to cream-to-powder or pressed powder highlighters. Liquid or straight up cream highlighters tend to break me out.

I like to use Mac’s – Cream Color Base in Shell
along with Mac’s – Iridescent Powder/Loos in Silver Dust
I really like this combo used together. In all honesty I haven’t tried many highlighters! I still haven’t even dented the cream color base or the container of iridescent powder, so I probably won’t buy any time soon.

  11. Albatross by Nars! =))) Looooveee
I also want to check out new order! but I do have Hungry heart and love it already but its too much sparkle for me for everyday.

The new one from Chanel that is available only at Nordstrom. It’s a pressed Pearl powder and it’s gorgeous. Soft, sheer, with a pearlescent sheen that is delicate and won’t over frost you. Great for using as highlighter, eyeshadow or over/under blush for a soft glow. Check it out before it’s gone!

It depends on what kind of look I’m going for, but I typically like cream/liquid or pressed. If I want an all over glow, I like liquid/cream. It’s easier to control what goes where, and how much goes where as well. Liquids/creams are also easier to smooth over my cheeks. Pressed is another one I use, usually just for “natural” days. It gives me a little glow on the cheeks, which I like for when I don’t feel like putting on a lot of makeup, but still want to achieve a nice look for the day.

I have Luminosa Powder and High Beam that I use depending on what I need or what I’m going for. I use High Beam more regularly.

  15. Violet

Um, I use a frosty eyeshadow by Babor in a shade or two lighter than my skintone. It works fabulously for me, although when I’ve used it on friends when doing their make-up, it doesn’t quite work. Idk, I guess I just hit the jackpot with it.

  16. My favorite cheek highlighter is a beautiful pressed silvery beige powder
that Georgio Armani came out with last Christmas in the holiday collection. I knew it was a limited edition and purchased two of them.
They last forever and go with any color blush or outfit you are wearing.
Looking forward to this year’s holiday collection.

I like Benefit High Beam tapped on with my fingertips if I’m wearing a tinted moisturizer, or liquid/cream foundation, and Smashbox SoftLights applied with a fan brush if I’m wearing mineral foundation.

  18. K

NONE – I have super oily skin that gets a shine all on its own! 😛

  19. Adelita

Well, for highlight (cheekbones, bridge of the nose, chin, mid forehead) I love Benefit High Beam/Girl meets Pearl & NARS Nico. But for all over face glow/illuminator, I love MAC Strobe Cream & Estée Lauder Spotlight Skin Tone Perfector for the cream form and Crystalline Cat Glow by Meow Cosmetics for loose form.

But, I only bring my beloved Benefit High Beam and NARS Nico with me when I’m traveling. So yes, these two are my absolute favorite.

  20. Sheryl

I feel like I have more control with a pressed powder. I love MAC’s Belightful! I get compliments about my blush/highligher all the time and it looks great in photos.

  21. artemis

    a stick 😀

  22. artemis

or just an eyeshadow…when it’s a colorful look. you can tell i’m a teen on a low budget lol

  23. Lexi

the only cheek highlighter I have that doesn’t make me look greasy or make my pores look huge is the LORAC Perfectly Lit Oil-Free Luminizing Powder in Spotlight

  24. Jocelyn

Liquid!! I love benefit high beam!! It’s my life!!

  25. Angelcat47

I actually like both cream/liquid and pressed powder;it depends on the look I’m going for and how much time I have.

  26. Jill

I like Candelight by Too Faced. It adds just a bit of sparkle to really brighten up the under my eyes and above the cheekbone :)

  27. I use the Nars Copacabana multiple. I just draw a line on top of my cheekbone and blend. I find it’s not too shimmery for daytime use and it works well with my pale, very cool Asian skin.

  28. Chelsea

    Is baked minerals considered pressed?
