Video Tutorial – Sunset Gold Eyes, MAC BBR

Posted in: Tutorials, Video

Here’s the video tutorial I spoke of in the look post earlier today… As I mentioned, I’m really disappointed with the quality of the video from the Flip camera I was trying out. I’m going to use my other camera for the next video attempt, whenever that may be, I couldn’t tell ya ;) I hope you at least find it somewhat useful.

I think the video is fantastic! I can see where the you’d like it to be more accurate, but this is damn good.

Tried to tell you on your look page but it’s having trouble loading or something… French Cuff = Expensive Pink exactly. I have some swatch pics if you want them. It’s a much closer match than Mythology.

      Should work now :)

I was actually thinking about listing the dupe as Mythology + Expensive Pink. I’d love to see your swatch pics!

That looks lovely! Its not loading the look page to see some other angles, but it looks stunning to me… I could never pull off the brighter corals, but it looks like everything blended together nicely.

Bad quality or no, it was helpful seeing the video, and how the makeup looks in a more “real” lighting/movement.

love this look, so versatile, before you put this all together i was just going to get flip but now i might get french cuff and 100 strokes too cuz i wanna try this look. i should know this bc i read your blog twice a day, but do you do your own eyebrows or do you get them done by a professional because they are awesome. watching you in the video shows you from different angles than the static photos and its just amazing how mice your eyebrows look. im so jealous

      Aw, thanks, Whitney!! :)

I do my own eyebrows MOST of the time. I did them myself forever, but about six months ago, I had them threaded for the first time. I’ve had them threaded once more (maybe two or three months ago). In between threading, I just pluck every two days or so to keep/maintain the shape.

I made sure to fill them in and then apply MAC Clear Brow Gel over them so they wouldn’t be all awry!

I have been reading your blog for a few months now and I really love the addition of this video tutorial. You should consider doing more! You have a great speaking voice and you explain everything very clearly. I’ll tell ya, some makeup tutorials on youtube are a hot mess. We need more from people like you.

I loved being able to see your technique! Even if the quality of the colors wasn’t so great with that camera, we get the idea. I thought you did a great job!

It has been too long since your last video Christine! The video is so helpful, even if it was a simple look. How do you find the blending brush? Personally I like the 222 as I don’t have nice eyes/crease.

Thanks, Jan! I like the 226 so far, but I have to remember to use it, LOL.

Thanks for the video! I didn’t know that you used mixing medium with pigment, but now it makes sense how the pigment sticks on! I love Your Ladyship too, it’s a pretty colour.
