It is unfortunate that this formula is such a bust. I am so very disappointed in MAC for releasing such a product. The colors are vibrant and beautiful–what a shame they don’t work. You are so right that a product should work for you. For the money people spend, these should go on quick, dry reasonably fast and last. So many people who use make-up for everyday wear should be able to have confidence that they can put something like this on and not have to worry about it smudging.

Thanks for posting this video. Sometimes I get a bit lost in long reviews; it was nice to just listen to your opinion and experience with em.

  3. Love the video review, gave me a good view on how they’ll look when you start applying them :)

  4. Aw, Christine, you are so cute! “Yay, yay, yay!” But thank you for the thorough review. You’re the best, as always!

Very pretty colors. It is such a shame that these don’t perform well worn alone. I would probably wear as a base only since that is how I wear most cream eyeshadows. I always top with a powder shadow.

Thank you for the review :)

Initially I was very disappointed in what I saw of these shadows, but to be honest all I ever use cream shadows for is a coloured base between primer and powder shadows, to intensify the colour. I never use cream shadows alone, as a wash etc, and I always layer a primer underneath…so perhaps these won’t be so bad for me. I think I will get one or two just to try. I still REALLY wish they had made these colours as Paint Pots instead though – I would have bought every one!

These are designed to be stippled with a #242 Brush.

    • I used the 242 brush – did you watch the video or the read the review? I was very clear on what techniques and products I used :)

almost 2 weeks later not a response from mac…I love how all the mac employees act as if there is no difference in their products in the last can they not notice?
