The colors are lovely, but I have too many e/s in all these color families to justify buying. Fingers crossed that they issue Blackout as a single as it beats Perversion & Lorac’s black (forgot the name) by a mile. It’s as black as Shu Uemura’s gel eyeliner, which is my fav.

  2. Michelle

Omen and Half Truth look very pretty!

  3. Sarah

So I don’t think that EVERY one of these colors are extremely unique… BUT I am pretty sure I need it in my life! These are awesome because you get so much for a fair price. It seems to be a great mix of all colors and very pretty! I LOVE UD palettes for travel too! So excited!

  4. Sarah

I think I’ll skip this and just hunt for a good dupe of Evidence. So pretty!

  5. Maddy

OH MY GOD.. i kind of started freaking out when i saw this.. just a tad.
i have never has a book of shadows palette! This will be my first! most of the colors are so wearable! I really hope it doesn’t sell out fast:(

  6. Harleigh

A lot of these shades look like the ones UD already have in their permanent range. Hopefully, UD hasn’t gotten lazy and these are amazing when actually swatched.

  7. El

Junkshow is the only must-have for me. I hope they sell it separately one day.

  8. Flow, Evidence and Blackout as a blue smokey eye on dark skin. There, I’ve said it. Saw those swatched together and started drooling.

This is the next Naked palette, yes?

  9. Ginelly

Absolutely falling in love with urbandecay I honestly believe urban decay makes the best eyeshadows in the market I think they even beat Mac!! :)

  10. mnm

Evidence and Omen = LOVE! I am soo getting this!

  11. Maeve

    This looks beautiful!

  12. Bethy

Seeing as how I only have the Naked palette and 3 single UD eyeshadows, it is totally warranted for me to decide this is a must have. Which I have. Decided. I don’t know how I am going to balance all the different bits and bobs of makeup I want this summer, it is painful. MAC collections, UD palette, Chanel blush…I may need a second job. And I’m not exactly poor after my first job!

  13. Carol

I so TOTALLY have to have this!!! Oh why, Oh why did you have to post these beautiful pics!!!

  14. amalia

is urban decay HQ in the west coast? maybe it will launch when it is 12 pacific because it is 12 eastern here and still no show

    • Lisa

We never know when they exactly launch because sometimes, they launch it at midnight which was what happened with the AIW BOS & their BOS III launched at 10AM PST, which is 1PM EST. You just probably have to keep checking it hourly..

  15. Daria

    love it!!!

  16. Scarlett

this is the first time i love every color on a palette!

  17. I am really enjoying the matt black. It looks so crisp and i’m tired of shimmery blacks, even if they do look good.

  18. Oh…wow. The packaging is just so gorgeous, and then the colors! I think Evidence is my favorite, but I can’t quite decide.

  19. Maureen

Too many of these colors look similar. :/ I don’t really like Urban Decay at all.

  20. Maria

Will the palette be Limited Edition?

  21. Liz

I have an unlikely issue with this product!
    1) the packaging is bulky. I hate bulky packaging. Haaate!!! I refuse to purchase anything that will clutter up my bathroom/travel bag too much! (I travel and move all the time)
    2) It’s too pretty to depot. I’m a cold hearted depotter, I depot Guerlain palettes, tokidoki palettes and smaller UD palettes without shedding a tear, but I can’t see myself depotting this in it’s glossy purple plastic-crystal goodness.

result: –> will not purchase :(

    more for you guys!

  22. What gorgeous packaging…love that shiny pruple against that black…Not a big fan of some of the lighter colors though

  23. Pepper

I know my husband needs bypass surgery but hes just going to have to wait. (Jk) I really must have this. No jk!

Tainted, Junkshow, Omen, and Deep End<3 But a lot of the shadows look similar to existin or Pre existing shades =\ Still excited though as I don't have a lot of UD shadows!

  25. The packaging is GORGEOUS!

  26. Jaime

i’m glad i held out on the naked palette. This palette has such great variety. Omen looks like it may be a dupe for stars n rockets

  27. Fatima

Christine you are such an enabler lol

  28. Profile wp-user-avatar wp-user-avatar-60 alignnone photo of Katherine Katherine

I did read your review above and wanted to know if you would please confirm for me that the only color in this palette that has glitter is the midnight? Thank you. I love the UD shadows without the glitter. If there is only the one with glitter I will definately purchase this palette!

  29. This palette could not have come at a worse time!! Grr…I don’t have the money put away to buy this thing and I know for sure that it will sell out faster than BOS III. Good Grief!

  30. Profile wp-user-avatar wp-user-avatar-60 alignnone photo of telle telle

    OMG! YAY!
THANK YOU for this, Christine!!!!! SO PUMPED! :D

  31. Profile wp-user-avatar wp-user-avatar-60 alignnone photo of Corliss Corliss

I hate, hate, hate the packaging. Looks like cheap cardboard. I might pass on this one.

  32. crazedstargazer

Damn…. Urban decay, my purse hates thee. Let it count it count the ways…

  33. Elisa

If I didn’t have the BOS2, BOS3, Naked palette, and Ammo palette then it would be worth buying but I think I have similar enough colors already to pass on this one.

  34. Brimbelle88

Thanks a lot for this review, done very quickly but with quality! (smiley falling on his knees and thanking)
I did also fear that it was fake :-o

I love the packaging, totally UD, and Evidence and Half truth.
I may brake my little no-buy, can’t do otherway as it doesn’t cost much for 15 eyeshadows!

  35. O.o o.m.g too tempting too tempting..

  36. heidi

Need. I need this palette. This will belong to me!

  37. Megan

Do you think that this will sell out like the Naked palette did? I’m wondering since it is limited edition.

  38. be

What?? No UDPP or eyeliner??? Anyway I’m still fiending for it. Looks like UD is going to do it to us once again. I’m still getting over the torture I went through to get Naked. It must be somewhat like childbirth even though it hurts you”ll still go through it again and again.

  39. Shelle

im torn. Its almost like a math game with UD, is it financially worth it if you’re getting dupes. There are about 4 shades I really want, but i know that i dont want a couple of them. The palette looks a bit small too. But at $17/single shadow i guess it is worth it, sigh. What a waste of the extras though (Deeper=smog, blackout=zero (or any other black out there), deep end=flipside?, and chase=pick a gold, any gold.) And Omen is asphyxia…look at the model at the ud homepage, its sheer. I wish we could just make our own UD palette!

    • Blackout is so different from Zero – Zero is a disappointment in comparison, IMO. Flipside is very green in comparison – you might want to loo at the Swatch Gallery :)

  40. julia

is the half truth color same as the ac/dc from the bos ii?

  41. *jaw dislocation*

  42. Tanja

    In LOVE! <3

  43. Angelina

I think I passed out when I saw evidence then I woke up & passed out again when I saw junkshow. I gotta get this palette.

  44. Profile wp-user-avatar wp-user-avatar-60 alignnone photo of Alex Alex

Ordered this once Ulta had it sent to them since it was sold out on UD website. A lot, if not all of these, can be duped, BUT being a make-up junkie lol, I still had to order it. It looks so pretty and you could never have to many palettes to travel with so you don’t have to carry individual shades. That’s how I reason with my spending ;-)

  45. OMG I am so pumped I cannot wait to get my palette. Every color is gorgeous.

  46. vanessa sales

I just received mine in the mail and although its pretty i must admit its not anything different than all the other pallettes…..the colors are almost identical to my MYC palette. :( sadness.

  47. nicole

Hey Christine this is back in stock on the UD website !! just thought I’d let you know so you can update everyone !

    • nicole

      nevermind already sold out again

      • nicole

It’s available off and on … right now it’s in stock ten minutes ago it wasn’t, an hour ago it was… might want to stalk the website today if you want to try to get your hands on one.

  48. Kristina

Hi Christine! I am debating between buying this or the Book of Shadows. Are the colors between the two palettes too similar for me to buy both? Do you prefer one over the other? Thanks.

P.S. This is my first time commenting on your website. Sorry if this was the wrong place to ask this!

  49. Nancy

THIS PALETTE JUST WENT UP ON SALE ON SEPHORA.COM LAST NIGHT! I bought 2, I can’t wait! omgosh..

  50. I ordered this palette from Sephora… and I am excited to receive it!!! woohooo

  51. brandy

they are available on ud site again!! they sent me an email!!! also when i went to sephora today,i asked about it. they had it but it was in the back. they sold me one anyway!! yay

  52. Christina

Christine! Your swatches and reviews are always super helpful!! I would love to have your opinion: should I get UD’s BoS Vol. III or their 15th Anniversary Palette? I have none of their BoS or palettes yet! …Or is it worthwhile getting both (I would be swapping for the BoS III anyway so it’s not a money issue)???

    Thanks a million! xo!

  53. Eli Bee

Hey I am SOOOOOOOOO…..asking for this, this Christmas I showed it to my mom and she was like ” Ohhh Really MORE makeup!!” and I flipped and said “YESSSS!!!! YOU HAVE TO ORDER IT NOW OR IT WON’T BE OUT ANYMORE!!!!!!” LOL NOW I can’t wait until Christmas :) :)

  54. Connie
