Red lipsrick gives a neat look but gloss is more for a more easy going event.

Lipstick but really both at the same time.

  6. Red lipstick for sure. If I want an opaque glossy red lip I can just top it off with a gloss, and if I want it sheer I can mix some lipstick or OCC Lip Tar into it instead.

My favorite red product ever was Urban Decay’s Lipgunk Gash, and I love rich opaque lipgloss. Since Lipgunk is discontinued, I have fallen in love with MAC Kissable Lip Color glosses.

If there was an ‘other’ category I would pick lip pencils, less bleeding and feathering compared to gloss or lipstick. (In my personal experiences)

  8. Anytime I buy lipstick, it is always a red lipstick…though I have tried a different shade like…pink, orange tone, mauve, etc. I always end up with a red tone…..Only recently did I tried MAC’s lipglass from the Blogger’s Obsession and I again picked a red shade. Other tones just dont stand out.

Death by hanging or death by drowning? No “none” or “other” alternatives? I chose lipgloss because that means I could use one that is extremely sheer and barely shows up. I really hate red lips ._.

    Red Lipstick, for sure!

I go weak in the knees when it comes to red lips- just powerless. It looks awful on me, too, but I insist on wearing it so often (I tell myself that it will look pretty on me if I just learn proper application … blah, blah, blah).I have tried both glosses as well as lipsticks; I am no longer a rose with my “bloom” in full swing and glosses tend to get messy on me, so I opt (and always will, I’m afraid) for a gorgeous red lipstick…

I’d say both, but I’d opt for red lip gloss for just every day.

Gloss. I don’t do red lips hardly ever. The only red lipstick I own is a sample, but I’ve actually purchased two red glosses. ;)

  14. I kind of agree with Rainy: where’s the lip pencil? Red lip pencil can give a believable stained red lip.

I prefer lipstick over lipgloss almost 100% of the time. I can thin it down if needed, but it’s hard to find a gloss that’ll thick up. I’m kind of hoping that the cosmetic companies do more along the OCC Lip Tar line of product.

Lipstick. I enjoy a red lipgloss, but usually over red lipstick, not just by itself.

    RED LIPSTICK!!!
Well, even though my ultimate favorite comes with liquid form (Chanel Dragon) and followed by NARS Cruella (lip pencil) & Face Atelier Revenge (a lipstick form, finally).

Meanwhile, the only red lipgloss that I actually love is Hourglass Siren. Period.

I prefer lipstick, but as much as I avoid lipgloss, red is the shade I go for when I do buy it.

Red lipsticks forever! I hate lipglosses

red lipgloss because it looks more natural and juicy

I voted red lipstick, because I think it’s the better option, but I also gotta say a red lipgloss is a good compromise for people who can’t handle a strong red lip (like me). :)
