The Summer Season: Tarina Tarantino Candy Jar Lipstick
Tarina Tarantino Candy Jar Lipstick ($22.00) is a cool-toned baby pink with a little fuchsia-violet edge. It’s semi-opaque with a creamy texture and slightly glossy finish. I love the way it looks wet on lips! The texture is smooth and lightweight, and the lipstick doesn’t dry your lips out. I only get about three hours of wear with this shade, but it fades evenly. I also like that despite being so cool-toned, it wears much better with my warmer skin tone than many other shades in the cool-pink family.
Is this the right pink lipstick for you? Would you wear it?
The Summer Season is a series of posts featuring bright, vibrant shades of coral, orange, and pink lipsticks and lipglosses — all perfect for a summer of fun — that runs through July 2010.

Love Love Love!! I just got Pink Nouveau-- and this looks a little similar-- although this is definitely lighter and more lavender-ish
Although I own a million + lipsticks seriously...I wore this color 3 week straight I love it so much. With my tanned skin and cool complexion it's the perfect pink. I am now addicted to Tarina's Leatherette which is the most glamourous peachy nude.
nice. i'd love to see you swatch mac snob. i'm similar in coloring (hair, eyes, complexion, etc...) to you so curious to see what you look like!
I love this color! Weirdly, even though I am supposed to be warm, I like to wear cool-toned lipsticks and lipglosses. This looks awesome in my opinion! Christine, can you recommend maybe a MAC equivalent? I was thinking maybe Pink Nouveau but that might not be as cool. Thanks!
Snob would be the closest, but it's a lot lighter/paler, IMO! Pink Nouveau is a bit brighter... maybe a mix of the two?
It totally depends on your skintone/colouring. I know quite a few people who could pull this color off! And purples are "in" for Spring :)
I completely agrees with Michelle, I'm Neutral/cool toned and colours like this suit me best! and it looks lovely on Christine.
I use a fluffy eyeshadow brush to apply shades like this to my lips in a buffing motion and it looks lovely on. I put some rosebud salve on first and let it really sink in. If you ever want a perfectly even, natural and softer application of brighter lipstick shades use a fluffy brush!!
Beautiful! now I know which lipstick to pick up from Sephora on my holiday in july. it looks lush, the way it looks wet on the the lips is awesome
