Maybelline Sandstone Shimmer Lipgloss
The Spring Season: Maybelline Sandstone Shimmer Lipgloss
Maybelline Sandstone Shimmer Color Sensational Lipgloss ($5.99) is a sheer, lightly peach-tinged champagne-shimmered gloss. Applied on my lips, it mutes the natural rosiness a bit, giving it a milkier, nude-pink look with a glossy sheen and noticeable shimmer. It has a sweetened berry scent and no real taste to me (nothing bad, maybe a touch sweet) as well. This would be nice layered over matte or semi-matte nudes for extra sparkle!
Is this the right nude lipstick for you? Would you wear it?
The Spring Season is a series of posts featuring my favorite soft beige, coral, and pink lipsticks and lipglosses — all perfect for the first blossom of spring — that runs through March 2010.

I have one of their lipsticks that looks exactly like this and use it over matte lipsticks all the time. It looks great over Rimmel's Airy Fairy - my favorite lipstick of all time - as well ad over some of NYX's matte lip creams. It also looks really nice on it's own, but a lot more sheer in that case. It's very versatile.
You know I have been really impressed with maybelline lip products lately. I have bought 5 or 6 of their new l/s and have been pretty impressed. The weird thing is some of them have a weird taste/scent that the others don't out of the same line. I wonder what the ingredient is that does that. I just bought one of the YSL golden glosses(I wear over everything) or I would try this one. Hey maybe I could buy this for my daughters and they won't try to use my YSL!
This is my everyday lip gloss. I love this one. Sometimes I'll put it over velvet teddy l/s. It's really not crazy frosty like it looks. But yep, this one will always be in my purse, because it's perfect for everyday wear :)
am wondering how this one looks over Brew and Myth lipstick, i like this lipgloss looks very beautifull. did you try it over those lipsticks ?
Pretty! Looks a tad frosty (which I don't mind) and would be something I would layer over a lipstick.
