The Scarlet Season: Smashbox Siren Lip Enhancing Gloss
Smashbox Siren Lip Enhancing Gloss
($18.00 for 0.20 oz.) is a mostly red, slightly pink-tinged semi-opaque gloss with a coppery red shimmer that’s noticeable but not in-your-face. The best part about this gloss (and other shades in the same formula) is the high shine, ultra glossy look it gives lips. My lips just seemed to look a little bigger, fuller, and just more POW! overall. The formula iteslf is non-sticky, not really thick (but not super thin, either–somewhere in-between), and very moisturizing. The gloss does contain vitamin E, so it helps keep lips feeling their best. It has a soft slightly sweet vanilla scent to it, as well. Siren is a good shade to gloss over a red lipstick for extra shine or wear alone!
The Scarlet Season is a series of posts showcasing and featuring my favorite shades of red lips–from glosses to lipsticks that runs through December 2009. You can sure expect to see a lot of red this holiday season!

Oh wow, that looks amazing. I don’t know why, but when I saw it in the tube it didn’t look like it would apply so well.
I’m glad you’re doing Smashbox reviews today, I love that brand!

Surprisingly, it applied quite well and didn’t require much fussing! :)
I didn’t even realize I was doing multiple Smashbox reviews, LOL! We’ll pretend it’s Smashbox Day!

One of the rare cases where something looks better on the lips than in the tube; I love how the glitter actually looks pink, not silver. It’s really beautiful.

This colour is lovely, the colour reminds me of the sugary, clear layer on candy apples.

I own this gloss in Starlit. It’s a really pretty red- full color and slightly shimmery. The color goes on like a liquid lipstick. I love it so much! You should check it out. None of the other shades seemed special enough for me to buy, but Siren looks pretty :-)

It’s a pretty solid formula, so it’s definitely worth stopping to glance at next time you’re near a Smashbox display!

Wow, I agree with the other commenters. It really does look better on your lips than in the tube. I totally didn’t expect that at all!
