The Scarlet Season: MAC So Scarlet Lipstick
MAC So Scarlet Lipstick ($14.00 for 0.10 oz.) was a limited edition shade of a mostly opaque deep ruby red released with the Cult of Cherry Collection. I love the creamy texture of this shade, because it really helps make application a breeze. It can be applied as more of a semi-opaque color with just one layer, but two layers yields you a bold ruby red with a glossy finish–it’s almost so pretty it doesn’t need gloss (though it does need lip liner to prevent it from bleeding). I love it with Jampacked Lipglass for a deeper red.

i’m glad i picked this one up. i was hunting for some very wearable, non-frightening reds to have in my arsenal, since i didn’t have any. i think this is my favorite red lipstick. now if i can just get my hands on the cult of cherry gloss that i’m so mad at myself for passing up! LOL

I have this lipstick and absolutely love it! If it was repromoted I think I’d buy like a million back-ups. Lol. It’s just the perfect red on me and I think I’ll be using it a lot over Christmas/New Year. x

What lipliner do you use with this? I have this shade also but do not own any lipliner in a darker shade. Can you recommend something from MAC?
I like Red Enriched or Portside Cremestick liners with this! I tend to use Urban Decay for lip liners, though (Gash or the clear for this one).
