The Scarlet Season: Lancome Red and Sensual Java Lipstick
Lancome Red and Sensual Java Lipstick ($25.00 for 0.14 oz.) is an orange-based opaque red in Lancome’s Color Fever formula. The Color Fever formula makes it a more opaque, hydrating lip color that feels lightweight with a glossy sheen. I really like the richness in pigmentation in this shade, and it glides onto lips so easily. It’s definitely a bolder, brighter shade of red that will get your lips noticed when you wear it!
The Scarlet Season is a series of posts showcasing and featuring my favorite shades of red lips–from glosses to lipsticks that runs through December 2009. You can sure expect to see a lot of red this holiday season!

Pretty color, but not for me. Orange-red’s make me look sick.
Same – I feel a bit clownish in orange-reds.
except coromandel right?
just finally got that one btw…(and dragon of course)
Coromandel was my least fave of the Laques, mostly because I don’t love it on me, but I had to own it for the sake of owning ALL.
Are you LOVING Dragon? Oh, I hope you are!
For some reason I’ve always hated the name of this color! lol
LOL!
Love it on you! I bought it a few months back ad have been trying to make it work but it’s too shimmery on me. Sadly, I can’t return it, no receipt. Also,as an fyi to your readers, it is less orange for me in real life vs. the pics
Have you tried using a cream finish gloss on top? I wonder if that would tone down the shimmer a bit!
