shiseido sun protection liquid foundation. i can’t believe a product with spf 42 could be this light. this replaced my mac studio fix fluid.

  2. valentina

Double wear and double wear light. I’ve tried so many liquid foundations but these are by far the best. DW can be a little bit too heavy but it’s perfect when applied in small quantity and/or with a wet sponge.

  3. Emm

Superfit by Clinique, sensitive for my skin, lasts all day, coverage dependent on application.

  4. Lauren

Luxiva Flawless Effect Liquid Foundation SPF 15 – found at Merle Norman Cosmetics across the country

  5. Shannon

    Estee Lauder Double Wear.

  6. Michelle

    Dior nude foundation

  7. MC

I’ve been liking the Revlon Colorstay mousse thingy-stuff lately, actually… I’m not usually a drug store girl, but I picked it up to try it and it has good medium coverage, a nice matte finish, and goo wear. Definitely worth the money!

  8. Pandor@

    Imo, it’s the
*** YSL Perfect Touch Radiant Brush Foundation ***

I take off and never use the little brush on the top and apply it with a stippling brush (like EnKore showed on YouTube).

I bought MAC Studio Fix (NC15) yeasterday and it’s ok, but my YSL is still the best.

Will you tell us your choice?

  9. Saira

I recently bought Revlon Colourstay liquid foundation and I really, really like it. I like how it is available for different skin types (normal/dry and combination/oily. It gives good coverage but it also feels really light on the skin, so it doesn’t feel like I am wearing lots of make-up.

    • BrownEyes

      I agree! That’s what I’m wearing today.

      • Nicole15

I jumped on the Revlon Colorstay bandwagon as well this past winter & i’m just about now finished with my bottle. I will definitely be purchasing it again. I wear it just about every single day (including today) primarily because it wears so long & well on my skin which is great when I am at work. This is definitely my #1 foundation presently. I will always be trying new things, but that is just me. Til then…Revlon Colorstay all the way.

  10. cloudburst

I don’t wear foudnation now, but when I did I loved Prescriptives Virtual Skin.

  11. Chiara

Actually, i’m still looking for a foundation that gives the same coverage like Studio Fix Fluid, but who is less flakey when you apply it on ‘sunkissed’ spots like your nose. Any suggestions?

  12. Lindsay

Revlon Colorstay for combo/oily skin. The coverage lasts ALL day!

  13. MERY

for me its the georgio armani illuminous one
it gives coverage in the light way

  14. Sandy

MUFE Mat Velvet + Matifying Foundation.. Great for oily skin!

    • Nicole15

I have been so tempted to try this foundation because the MUFE HD Foundation was not matte enough for me. I have very oil skin as well.

      • Enna

Try Revlon colorstay for oily skin, it leaves your skin matte, does not feel like a mask and the staying power is better than any other foundation. You can also try Estee Lauder Double wear, I use the light one, it is like colorstay…just more expensive. The trick with Revlon is to find your exact shade.

  15. Veronica

Revlon Colorstay foundation, for sure! ;]

  16. AlyxVeee

I just started using Tarte Re-Create foundation and love it. Having used mineral foundation forever, its really nice and feels like nothing.

  17. Piper

    Revlon Color Stay liquid foundation.
A little of this stuff goes a long way. It wears well, I never have a problem with it getting on my clothing and it matches my complexion better than anything I have tried.
I mix it with a lil cetaphil to create a tinted moisturizer….this stuff is GREAT

  18. Kajsa

I can only afford drugstore brands, so Loreal True match liquid foundation mixed with Stargazers white foundation. I’m too light to just use the Loreal one ^_^

  19. shontay

Makeup forever face and body. Simply amazing, light and lasts all day. Perfect.

    • Meg

I second this. This is my HG foundation. Lasts through a 12 hr shift and feels like you’re wearing nothing at all.

    • Maxine

Third this! Perfect, LOOKS-LIKE-MY-SKIN coverage, feels like nothing, lasts all day. <3 love love love this goop.

  20. Sana

    I second that!
MUFE Mat Velvet + Matifying Foundation I just started using it and its quite light and airy

  21. Jollene

Hourglass Veil Fluid. Seriously its awesome!

  22. Kathleen

For oily/acne prone skin, the perfect foundations are:
    ****Bare Escentuals mineral foundation****
****Makeup Forever Face & Body Foundation****

  23. Julia

MUFE HD foundation! It can layer on to cover under eye circles or spots without looking cakey or unnatural. It doesn’t have any SPF (SPF photographs badly, so professionals don’t like it in their foundations usually) so I mix some with my moisturizer to make a protective tinted moisturizer for the summer.

  24. Sarah

    Still searching…what’s yours, Christine?

  25. Bananarchy

Estee Lauder Double Wear hands down.

  26. Marina

    Givenchy Photo’Perfection

  27. Melissa

    Revlon colorstay oily/combo in Mocha!

  28. Anna

I have oily skin, and these are two of my favorite drugstore liquid foundation (definitely HGs):

    Revlon Color Stay (Oily/Combination)
Rimmel Lasting Finish 16 Hr Foundation

  29. lisa

Have not found my holy grail one yet but currently im using revlon colorstay and i do love it!

  30. Anya

Two of my favorites are Giorgio Armani Face Fabric – light coverage, but buildable to medium, perfect for summer; and YSL Perfect Touch.

  31. nettimacs

without a doubt it has to be Illamasqua Rich Liquid Foundation. amazing stuff, my HG!! the perfect full coverage and if you want to apply it a little bit lighter just mix with their satin primer spf 20 and it will give you the most amazing and long lasting dewy finish without the inconvinient oily or too shiny feeling…. love it!!!!!!

  32. Enna

Revlon colorstay works wonders: very good coverage, matte finish, does not feel heavy, great lasting power, broad range of colors…..and is cheap…..what else can you ask for?

  33. Heather

I love MAC’S new Baby Bloom Tinted Moisturizer. Just enough color to enhance my face. Moisturizer very nice.

  34. maddie

just got the new Make Up For Ever.. i like it! i also use MAC and Dior
my skin is olive and sometimes i have a hard time matching with dior
i also use Dio’s Spray bronzer? i love it!!!!
want to try the new Givenchy anyone tried it????????????

  35. pia

Revlon beyond natural foundation. AMAZING! Very light and it matches my skin real well.

  36. londa

Smashbox HD Healthy FX Foundation is my current fave!! I tried MAC’s foundation and found it too heavy and I just finished a bottle of Bobby Brown ‘Skin’ Foundation and found it too runny and didn’t really look natural. I’m African American, with a darker skintone and the Smashbox Foundation doesn’t feel heavy on my skin and matches my coloring perfectly!!

  37. CeeBee

Dior Nude. Though the Maybelline Liquid Dream Mousse is a close second!
I liked Revlon Colorstay a lot at first but it always made me breakout so :-(

  38. Katherine

    1) MUFE HD foundation
    2) MUFE Mat Velvet Foundation
    3) Mac Studio Fix Fluid

  39. Nicci

Sisley Paris: Oil-Free Foundation (on 2nd bottle)

La Prairie: Skin Caviar Concealer Foundation SPF 15

  40. Gabbie

ummm, Lancome Teint Idole Ultra, hands down. And I have tried over 100 foundations.

  41. SusanG

Guerlain – Parure Extreme , holds up in Cali weather like no other ! Definitely worth the price.

  42. Angela

I haven’t found it yet. Hopefully one day I will find the perfect liquid foundation.

  43. Raven

Hands down Clinique’s new Even Better Foundation!! This is my new HG and I was a Chanel/YSL gal most of my life!! It has noticeably evened and brightened my complexion in a matter of weeks!! It’s smooth, airy and covers perfectly!! Gals……….., why not head to your nearest counter, have one of the ladies or gents find your shade, get a sample and give it a go???!!!

  44. Kim

i like revlon colorstay foundation in early tan… and i <3 MACs mineralize satin finish in NC 37

  45. Jenn

either armani face fabric (for sheer everyday coverage) or luminous silk (usually only use for work during cooler months, but I like the coverage and I can’t feel it on my skin)

  46. Susie

    Armani.. Forever.

  47. Philippine

    Prescriptives virtual skin for me.

  48. A

If this doesn’t break me out…..Armani’s Luminous Silk Foundation!!I have been on the hunt for a flawless looking foundation that provides the correct color match for years (FOUR, to be exact). I’m almost scared to say that it may end here without thinking that I might jinx myself. haha.

  49. Kewal

    EL Double Wear is awesome!

  50. Jessica Autumn

    Revlon Colorstay hands down =D

  51. Yatty

Revlon Colorstay for combi/oily skin, MUFE Matt Velvet & Chanel Matt Lumiere, in this order.

  52. xiomara

Mac studio fix fluid in nw20

  53. MPSPSH

    Estee Lauder Double Wear

  54. I think the best is Revlon Colorstay Oil/Combo Foundation. It goes on very smooth, feels lightweight, gives amazing coverage, is smudgeproof/waterproof, and dries to a matte finish that doesn’t even need powder over it. When I want lighter coverage I apply it with a brush spritzed with water, or mix in a little moisturizer for a dewy look. My only problem is the lightest color is a little darker and pinker than my skin. So I am still looking for something better, or maybe a lighter more neutral foundation to mix with it.

  55. Natalie

Used to be MUFE HD foundation. Now I love:
Koh Gen Do Aqua & Moisture foundations
Shu Uemura Face Architect Smoothing foundation. These stuff are lighter than tinted moisturizer!

  56. Lauren

Huge fan of Lauren Hutton Aqua Elements collection. One of the most natural looking foundations I’ve ever used, and it evens out your skin, leaving it looking flawless! Check it out at

  57. Pinkie

Revlon Colorstay is what ive been sticking to. For a drugstore product, I must say the pay off is great.

  58. Tina

i love my prescriptives virtual matte foundation :) it gives awesome coverage, doesn;t break me out, and helps keep my oily skin matte. but i’ve been dying to try out MUFE mat velvet+

  59. Christy

MAC Studio Sculpt. My skin feels so soft and looks dewy when I use it. My skin leans dry in fall/winter, so its perfect.

  60. Liz W

Make Up For Ever Liquid Lift and MUFE Face & Body

  61. randi

Studio Fix Fluid. I am torn between exchanging my SFF, which wears like a dream on me but its so dang expensive (I just lost my job), and just sticking with Revlon Colorstay which is decent enough but is kindof a pain to blend….grrr…

  62. Deborah

Dior Nude is the most amazing foundation!

  63. Veronica

Giorgio Armani’s Luminous Silk Foundation..perfect! Designer cream foundation if I could include a cream foundation here….GA produces really good foundations that give a nude but fresh look 😉
NARS produces good foundation too. I love the firming foundation.

  64. Luda

love the MUFE HD foundation – LOVE LOVE LOVE

drugstore brand – maybellines Dream Liquid Mousse has been working great for me

  65. Allison

revlon colorstay!! the coverage really lasts all day even with my oily skin!

  66. Coco

La Prairie Skin Caviar Foundation. Glides on soo smooth on my skin, I absolutely love it!! Gives a real airbrush look. Very pleasing smell and lasts a year! It has SPF + 15 too which is great!

  67. Amy

Revlon Colorstay and Dior Forever (my special occasion foundation) are my favorites. They never let me down in terms of coverage, staying power, how they feel on my face.

  68. Erica

    MUFE HD foundation in #127
    Revlon colorstay in 310

  69. Lucy

max factor lasting performance really good if you dont have dry skin.

  70. nancy

i heard so many good reviews about revlon color stay liquid foundation, but once i went to go buy it,when i came home i tried it and it really sucked. it dried way too fast and it was horrible,,o and by the way it was also very hard to take off.i was really disappointed:/

  71. Carrie

I’ve found that the use of primer is the biggest determining factor in whether my foundation will continue to look fresh throughout the day. When I first began using a primer, I even had a coworker rave about how much better my makeup was looking throughout the day and asked what I’d done differently.
