Best Liquid Foundation? What brand/product wins this category?
I've found that the use of primer is the biggest determining factor in whether my foundation will continue to look fresh throughout the day. When I first began using a primer, I even had a coworker rave about how much better my makeup was looking throughout the day and asked what I'd done differently.
i heard so many good reviews about revlon color stay liquid foundation, but once i went to go buy it,when i came home i tried it and it really sucked. it dried way too fast and it was horrible,,o and by the way it was also very hard to take off.i was really disappointed:/
Revlon Colorstay and Dior Forever (my special occasion foundation) are my favorites. They never let me down in terms of coverage, staying power, how they feel on my face.
La Prairie Skin Caviar Foundation. Glides on soo smooth on my skin, I absolutely love it!! Gives a real airbrush look. Very pleasing smell and lasts a year! It has SPF + 15 too which is great!
love the MUFE HD foundation - LOVE LOVE LOVE drugstore brand - maybellines Dream Liquid Mousse has been working great for me
Giorgio Armani's Luminous Silk Foundation..perfect! Designer cream foundation if I could include a cream foundation here....GA produces really good foundations that give a nude but fresh look ;) NARS produces good foundation too. I love the firming foundation.
Studio Fix Fluid. I am torn between exchanging my SFF, which wears like a dream on me but its so dang expensive (I just lost my job), and just sticking with Revlon Colorstay which is decent enough but is kindof a pain to blend....grrr...
MAC Studio Sculpt. My skin feels so soft and looks dewy when I use it. My skin leans dry in fall/winter, so its perfect.
i love my prescriptives virtual matte foundation :) it gives awesome coverage, doesn;t break me out, and helps keep my oily skin matte. but i've been dying to try out MUFE mat velvet+
Revlon Colorstay is what ive been sticking to. For a drugstore product, I must say the pay off is great.
Huge fan of Lauren Hutton Aqua Elements collection. One of the most natural looking foundations I've ever used, and it evens out your skin, leaving it looking flawless! Check it out at www.laurenhutton.com.
Used to be MUFE HD foundation. Now I love: Koh Gen Do Aqua & Moisture foundations Shu Uemura Face Architect Smoothing foundation. These stuff are lighter than tinted moisturizer!
I think the best is Revlon Colorstay Oil/Combo Foundation. It goes on very smooth, feels lightweight, gives amazing coverage, is smudgeproof/waterproof, and dries to a matte finish that doesn't even need powder over it. When I want lighter coverage I apply it with a brush spritzed with water, or mix in a little moisturizer for a dewy look. My only problem is the lightest color is a little darker and pinker than my skin. So I am still looking for something better, or maybe a lighter more neutral foundation to mix with it.
If this doesn't break me out.....Armani's Luminous Silk Foundation!!I have been on the hunt for a flawless looking foundation that provides the correct color match for years (FOUR, to be exact). I'm almost scared to say that it may end here without thinking that I might jinx myself. haha.
either armani face fabric (for sheer everyday coverage) or luminous silk (usually only use for work during cooler months, but I like the coverage and I can't feel it on my skin)
Hands down Clinique's new Even Better Foundation!! This is my new HG and I was a Chanel/YSL gal most of my life!! It has noticeably evened and brightened my complexion in a matter of weeks!! It's smooth, airy and covers perfectly!! Gals..........., why not head to your nearest counter, have one of the ladies or gents find your shade, get a sample and give it a go???!!!
Sisley Paris: Oil-Free Foundation (on 2nd bottle) La Prairie: Skin Caviar Concealer Foundation SPF 15
Dior Nude. Though the Maybelline Liquid Dream Mousse is a close second! I liked Revlon Colorstay a lot at first but it always made me breakout so :-(
Smashbox HD Healthy FX Foundation is my current fave!! I tried MAC's foundation and found it too heavy and I just finished a bottle of Bobby Brown 'Skin' Foundation and found it too runny and didn't really look natural. I'm African American, with a darker skintone and the Smashbox Foundation doesn't feel heavy on my skin and matches my coloring perfectly!!
just got the new Make Up For Ever.. i like it! i also use MAC and Dior my skin is olive and sometimes i have a hard time matching with dior i also use Dio's Spray bronzer? i love it!!!! want to try the new Givenchy anyone tried it????????????
I love MAC'S new Baby Bloom Tinted Moisturizer. Just enough color to enhance my face. Moisturizer very nice.
Revlon colorstay works wonders: very good coverage, matte finish, does not feel heavy, great lasting power, broad range of colors.....and is cheap.....what else can you ask for?
without a doubt it has to be Illamasqua Rich Liquid Foundation. amazing stuff, my HG!! the perfect full coverage and if you want to apply it a little bit lighter just mix with their satin primer spf 20 and it will give you the most amazing and long lasting dewy finish without the inconvinient oily or too shiny feeling.... love it!!!!!!
Two of my favorites are Giorgio Armani Face Fabric - light coverage, but buildable to medium, perfect for summer; and YSL Perfect Touch.
I have oily skin, and these are two of my favorite drugstore liquid foundation (definitely HGs): Revlon Color Stay (Oily/Combination) Rimmel Lasting Finish 16 Hr Foundation
MUFE HD foundation! It can layer on to cover under eye circles or spots without looking cakey or unnatural. It doesn't have any SPF (SPF photographs badly, so professionals don't like it in their foundations usually) so I mix some with my moisturizer to make a protective tinted moisturizer for the summer.
