I'd wear it for like a costume party or a goth look or something, but otherwise I'd just use it to mix with other lipsticks

I already have a hard time with dark red and berry colors cant imagine a black lipstick, but I will try the chanel dark purple one this look very interesting!

I would consider it, but my hair is so blonde ATM, that it would look kinda odd. As well, I'm naturally pretty tan. Perhaps after my next salon visit and probably only out at a party.

I know lots of people are excited about this black lipstick thing, but it's just not me. I mean, girls were wearing the black lips and nails when I was in high school. It's just not a new concept for me at all. Kinda *done*. But I'm in my mid 30's and have 3 little girls, so I'm not quite as daring as I used to be :)

i wouldnt wear it as a daytime goin to work, school or anything like this... but i would wear it for hallowing, photoshoots, night party...

I think true black, vinyl-shine lips can look soooo sexy and modern. To go the modern route (as opposed to the goth look, which I also love), I do black lips w/ a bare face, eyebrows toned down with a light layer of concealer, and a subdued black cat-eye. For even more drama, I go with a glossy black lid & lower lashline (Black Chromaline w/Clear Gloss). LOVE!

Probably only during October or for special events. I would want it to be cream and opaque and add lipgloss maybe even glitter. OH yes and a good eyeliner.

I'm as white as they get and this looks pretty cool on me! I would every now and then wear a strong black lip but with maybe light liner and mascara and that would be about it. To make it more wearable I would mix it up with some other shades.

Oh yes I would! I rock the black/dark lipstick all the time as I am a raging goth/industrial type of girl....just don't tell that to the people at my school/work, I am supposed to be a "professional"! If they only knew...... P.S. if anyone is having troubles with evening out the two black lipsticks from style black, try black lipmix, it works great and looks beautiful on! I am also loving Faultlessly F/W which I just bought!

Haa haa somehow I think it feels acceptable now that I have been doing almost-black reds and purples. Also I stopped faux-tanning (so bad for you!) so now I am back to my lovely Casper/Scandinavian skin tone so it suits it better. I will totally do a dense/matte black lip like the Style Black promo pictures (even if I have to use another brand or black pencil first etc) or I will do a black lip that fades to red center (sort of Gwen Stefani in the old days).

I might if I found a look that worked ... I don't want a soft , girly look with black lips. Is that possible ??

I've worn it by itself and I've worn black lipstick with Pomposity over it and some purplish gloss. I find that black lipstick makes my eyes look so much bluer.

I like black lips, but I like to do combinations, like line my lips in black and put a color like turquoise or red or purple on the rest of the lips. It's also nice to do a deep berry lipstick with a sheer black gloss on top. I'm currently loving my Urban Decay Oil slick for just the right amount of sheer black :)

Only for halloween! I don't wear stong (dark red/brown) lip color well (I'm really fair-skinned) so it wouldn't look good on me anyway.

I think a very neutral eye, with a dramatic black wing and glossy opaque black lips would be beautiful.

It depends on where I was going and what I was wearing.. I'd do the same as you... apply it thinly then put a gloss over the top :D

I'd definitely wear black lips! Super dark, opaque black lips :D I do think it would work well to deepen other colours as well - especially red glosses like you mentioned. I recently did a look with MAC Night Violet mattene (http://zoffe.blogspot.com/2009/09/night-violet-mattene-3-look-tutorial.html) and I think I'd do something similar with black lips - maybe with just a little pop of colour on the eyes so that everything isn't completely black.

I've tried but since I'm quite pale during winter I turn out looking like I'm dead so I decided that it's not for me :)))
