Temptalia Asks You – What’s your five-minute look?

Date: November 19, 2009 - Posted in: Temptalia Asks You

What’s your five-minute look? What do you wear when you’ve only got a few minutes before you’re out the door?

.

Tinted moisturizer, whatever mascara I can grab quickest, a quick slick of Benefit’s Creaseless Cream Eyeshadow (again, whatever I grab), and a lipgloss.

I usually just dab a bit of concealer under my eyes (and the red spots!), then powder up my face with some Rimmel powder. I curl my lashes really high and cover them in Maybelline mascara. Little bit of Relvon blush and red lipstick ;), then I’m out the door! :)

I have horrible circles around my eyes, so if I only have 5 minutes I’ll usually just do concealer & eyeliner. I use Benefit Lemon-Aid for the eyelids, Physicians Formula Gentle Cover Concealer in yellow to counteract the purplish undereye area, and then cover it with Benefit Boi-ing concealer to match my skintone. *sigh* I wish I didn’t have to though lol.

Even on my “lazy or rushed days” I still feel like I’m not ‘complete’ unless I have my face on. On the days when I have little time or I’m just really not feeling doing something fantastic I use my MES in Play on Plums and make that work, weather I use the light color on the lid and dark in crease or switch it up and use dark on lid and lighter to blend the crease and then vanilla pigment as my highlight i always feel ‘done up’ without having to take forever picking and blending, blending and picking. then I normally just use msf natural and the first blush I come to….works great on the days I want that extra 30 mins of sleep…

When I’m really in a hurry I don’t spent more than 2-3 min at the makeup table. I use first Too Faced Eyshadow insurance after a pink eyeshadow from Crazy, one of my Lancome’s mascaras, and in the end any kind of lipgloss.

I don’t go to work until 5pm so when i saw this post, i thoughts i’d jump up and try to do it in 5 mins. Fail….

Best i could probably do is 7mins.

Tinted Moisturizer (Bareminerals + Oil of Olay)
    Blush (Milani Sunset)
Fill in brows with dark brown
    UDPP
Copper on lid and Bronze in crease. Often will deepen with dark brown (same used on brows. Sometimes will add drama with black liquid liner.
    Some type of gloss.

Very rarely do i walk out with nothing on my face. When I do, and catch my reflection, i’m surprised.

  49. Linn

  50. Rebecca

    Thursday, November 19, 2009

ALL of my looks are my “five minute look” LOL. I don’t do super elaborate or heavy makeup pretty much ever, so I usually keep my makeup time under 5.

BUT if I want a super fast I’m-headed-out-the-door-NOW look, I’ll usually do:

    Light application of foundation
Clear brow gel to keep brows in place
    Curl lashes, apply mascara
A nice pinky/natural creme blush on apples of cheeks
    Lip gloss

  52. MM

    Thursday, November 19, 2009

Bobbi Brown under eye corrector and concealer, Mascara, an Indigo eye kohl (goes with everything, for me) and whatever gloss is in my handbag!

  53. Lis

    Thursday, November 19, 2009

    loreal volumious mascara
mac lipstick in sweetie or a random lipgloss…

  55. Anna Phalactyc

    Thursday, November 19, 2009

MAC Studio Finish concealer (ALWAYS), black eyeliner pencil tight to the upper lashline and waterline, white eyeliner pencil to the lower waterline, black mascara, Benetint to the apples of my cheeks, and a lipgloss. OK, so it may take SIX minutes but half of it may be applied while on public transportation, so it counts, right?

  56. Tasha

    Thursday, November 19, 2009

UDPP in Sin, curled lashes, Body Shop waterproof mascara (though I’m on the hunt for something better), Korres Lip Butter in Jasmine.

I do my makeup in about 3 minutes, tops, because its the last thing I do before getting on the bus for school. I always use: UDPP, mascara, a bit of Covergirls indigo impact eyeshadow or a 24/7 for my waterline, then an all over lid color like Estee Lauders Cinnamon or Silver Ball or Urban Decay Baked. Then I put some of Estee Lauders Ivory Box as a highlight, add some lip balm and Im good to go!

To be honest, my five minute look is just cleansing my face, using a toner, apply my moisturizer. Its not enough time for me to do anything (because I take forever), so I usually dont have anything on because Id rather have more sleep. =)
