Temptalia Asks You – What lipstick do you love but are scared to wear?
What lipstick do you love but are scared to wear? What lipstick (or color, shade, hue if you don’t have a specific one) are you ga-ga over, but just can’t bring yourself to wear [yet]?
Me? I’m not terrified of vampy colors, but I really think they look god-awful on me, so I just never wear them for “fear” of looking like the walking dead! (Seriously, last time I put a vampy lip on, my boyfriend asked if I was getting ready for Halloween!)

MAC MEDIA LIPSTICK … I LOVE IT BUT I THINK IT´S TOO DARK
That is a dark one!
Hmmm… MAC lipstick in Rocker. Looks amazing on me, and I wear it often. My fear conserning super red mattes like that is my lips get rather dry in winter. Flaky no good…
Definitely gotta do a lot of lip priming and moisturizing in the winter months.
I think berry stained lips, some of them are dark, but they look so pretty…i dont think i can pull it off.
I love berry stained lips, too. I’m sure you could!
MAC Cherche la Femme lipglass…..such a nice color red that works with my skin tone, but i’m not brave enough to draw that much attention to myself
Aw! Reds are always tough for a lot of us!
Reds can be intimidating. I also like MAC Cyber but don’t know if I could actually wear it out.
Cyber is a bold color, quite dark!
I have to agree with MAC cyber. I love that color but with my pale skin I don’t think I could ever pull it off.
I don’t think I could pull it off either, Katie!
Will have to be another vampy for me. Chanel Rouge Noir. Totally gorgeous. And I love it to death (how apt). But I dare not wear it out a lot because it’s so red it’s almost black.
Ohh, it sounds so pretty, but I agree, I would be wary of wearing it myself.
pink noveau!
its a beautiful pale pink.. but its a SUPER BRIGHT pale pink :-/
Oh man, that looked so awful on me when I had it! I hope you manage to wear it someday
Super red lipsticks like MAC Russian Red, etc…I can’t seem to carry it well and I feel like it’s too much for my already full lips.
Me too, Janis!! I’m so with you on the full lips.
MAC Fashionably Fuchsia – looks so perfect, yet reminds me so much of Barbie.
oh Caty, LOVE this color! It’s actually quite wearable
I love reds but I think it´s too much for me, I have voluminous lips and I think that my mouth looks bigger when I use reds on my lips. I was wondering if there is some way to use it and look nice, I´d tried to liner inside the lips´s natural line, but I still think that is too obvious.
I know what you mean, Joselina. Us full lip gals have to be careful with our bold colors.
Classic Red Lips! I can’t seem to find the perfect red :c I end up using sheer red glosses.
I’m still working on finding the perfect red, too, Cristina!
I aqm the opposite to You Christine: i think my lips are way too thin for bold colors, reds, dark hues, etc….
he must should know something of beauty… however i want to try some lip plumping glosses, can You recommend me a good one, that is really working? i have to be careful owhat i spend on,i need the money to expand my pigment collection lol
i am afradid of lip injections,b/c once an YSL artist told me,i would look like a fish with it
back to the subject: it is funny, how many lipsticks i own, which i couldn’t resist in the store, but i am afraid to wear them outside the house:
CHANEL Sari Doré,which is a real orange,
YSL Rouge Pur MAt No.1 and No.19: both real bright fochsias,
Dior: Gipsy Red,which is almost brown in reality,
and a Dior Addict one,i don’t know the exact name,but a rich,dark red.
however,if You put a lighter lipgloss on them, they are wearable outside.
It’s always a good idea to lighten up a lipstick with a different gloss if you don’t feel comfortable with the richness of it.
DuWop makes a good plumper, as does Fusion Beauty (Lip Fusion), just note that they do sting a bit to give you those “bee-stung lips.”
thank You,i will try them! hopefully i will get the Lip Fusion in one of the Douglas stores,in Vienna
