    I am a NC20 or sometimes NC 25

  2. I use dior skin nude
    in winter: #030
    in summer: #023

  3. Samantha

I’m an NW15 for anything MAC.

    nc50-55 mac

Clinique keeps changing the name, I can’t even remember the current one

  7. Vibeke216

Bobbi Brown tinted moisturiser in Alabaster. This is the lightest colour I’ve found but it’s still not quite right so the search continues. Bobbi’s undereye corrector in porcelain bisque is perfect though.

  8. Nora

MAC Studio Sculpt in NW20 is my total favorite. I’m more yellow toned but NC is way too yellow for me. :\

  9. Kristina

MAC NC 30, but NC 35 sometimes in the summer.
    Bare Minerals Medium Beige

  10. Annika

Winter: MAC NW15, Lily Lolo Porcelain
Summer: MAC NW20, Lily Lolo Blondie

  11. Madeline McCoy

    NC15-NC30

  12. Jen

i’m pretty pale.. in mac they dont even make a colour light enough for my skin.. NW15 is way too dark for me
so for my dior nude i am 010 (lightest one they have)
    LOL

  13. Kat

MAC NW15 in winter, though on some days it seems too yellow – In summer a NW20 or NC15, depending on how much colour i get. I turn yellow, but not very much darker than usual. I can’t quite find a fitting summer-tone.

  14. maycon

    MAC SFF nw 30 & 35

  15. Todd

I’m an NW20 all year round (I don’t tan). I’m 118 in Make Up For Ever’s HD line as well.

  16. Stila 30 watts in winter and 40 in summer.

  17. Jenn

Armani luminous silk 5.5 or face fabric 3 – we’ll see if I need to add some fluid sheer to bronze it up for summer

  18. Anitacska

I don’t know, never bought a Mac foundation. Just tend to match up whichever brand I buy, I vaguely recall I have Perfect Vanilla of Givenchy’s Photoperfection. I have pretty light skin, so tend to be around the second lightest or so.

  19. I was NC37…. until I started tanning :/

Now I don’t know what I am – I’ve been wearing MSF Natural in Medium Dark as my foundation

  20. Miss_M

I’m fair with pink undertones and often the lightest shade is still slightly to dark or yellow for me.

Shades I found that match my skintone are:

    MAC – NW15
    EDM – Cool Fair Medium
    Fyrinnae – Pyrite
Maybelline Pure Mineral powder foundation – Rose Ivory

  21. Anna

    I’m a MAC NC 25 when I’m not tanned

    • Megan

I am a Mac NC 25 as well but I have been tanning recently. What is the one shade darker in Mac Powder Plus Foundation?

  22. I’m NW15in MAC, or Blondie inLilyLolo mineral foundation – these are the only two I really wear as I don’t tan.

That said, I’m having a Fake Fake spray tan done for the first time ever on Tuesday and I have no idea what I’ll do for makeup – I guess skip the base altogether!

  23. Resa

MAC NC45 and MUFE HD #170

  24. francesca

    Winter: NW20
    Summer: NW25 (but with a tan I reach NW35/40!)

  28. Martha Urriola-Hess

    In winter NC44, NC45
    In sommer NC50

  29. TJ

I use MAC NW45 mixed with NC45. I can’t just use one shade, it never blends well. I use the MSF in Dark too.

  30. I used to be an NW15, then I started working at a grocery store as a cart wench and bagging slave a year ago. That brought me to an NW20 even in winter. This summer, I may very well reach NW25 for the first time since childhood.

  31. Katy

    MUFE HD 110

  32. Unfortunately MAC is too dark for me (I used to wear NW15 in Moisturefix).
In Meow Cosmetics I wear Inquisitive Siamese or Inquisitive Sphynx in Pampered Puss formula.
In Fyrinnae’s Mica free foundation I wear Moonstone.
In Purely Cosmetics Skin Smoothing Formula I wear Fair Maiden.
In Aromaleigh’s Glissade formula I wear a mix of Alabaster, 1N and 1CL.
    In Dreamworld I wear Devi.

  33. Marta

    NC 27/30

  34. Andrea

    NW20 in MAC
    Medium/Medium Beige in Bare Escentuals

  35. Lo

Basically, I use the palest thing I can get, anything Mac is way too dark and yellow toned for me, so I either use bourjois concealer and transluscent fixing powder (chanel)or Loreal Matifiant Mineral in transluscent.

  36. Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation = 1C1 Shell.
Took me so long to find a correct foundation match, & this is definately my HG foundation now!

  37. Bananarchy

NW20ish but use Estee Lauder Double Wear in 1N1 ecru

  38. Huai-Ann

I am yellow-toned and thought I would be NC but apparently I am NW25… Hm…

  39. kam

    NC 25 as well :)

  40. I´m a NC20 in everything from MAC.

  41. nyc mineral foundation powder in natural medium lol…

nc 40 in mac sometimes 42

shell beige or caramel cafe in estee lauder double matte or individualist

  42. I love foundation. I’m always looking for something new here is what I’ve discovered matches me well:

Mac NC30, Dior Linen #21, Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer in Nude, Bobbi Brown in 2.5, Lancome tinte idole in buff #2, MUFE HD in 120, Korres ginger and vitamins foundation in LF2 and wild rose foundation in WRF 2, Smashbox halo in light, Perricone tinted moisturizer in light, Shisheido in 020, Tarte recreate I have to mix #6 and #2 because #6 oxidizes really dark on me :(, Lorac SMS 2, Nars in Fiji, Bare Minerals in light, Benefit flawless in Petal, Kevyn Aucoin in SX 6 and LQ5 , The Balm in light/medium, Cargo Foundation in F20, Face Atlier ultra foundation in wheat #3, Estee Lauder Nutritious Vitamineral foundation in Intensity #2.0 (worse ever!!!), Global Goddess Geisha Goddess tinted face duo in #1.0 and Armani Luminous Silk foundation in #4.5 and Face Fabric in #2.

Isn’t it sad that I own most of these? I’m a foundation whore. Right now I’m loving the Bobbi Brown Nude and Face Atlier Ultra Foundation super light and perfect for the summer. I hope the reference is helpful :)

  43. Jen

I’m Nw20 in Mac foundations and Medium Beige in Bare Minerals.

  44. Natalie

    MAC NC20
    MUFE HD#117
    Shu Uemura #774 <3

  45. mahalia

I am an nc50 when the mac ladies match me bt I have found that the final outcome is way too ashy on my skin so I prefer to use nw45 and cut it with the nc50….

  46. Cathy

    Im a C3 in MAC…im pretty pale!

    • Hey, what would you be in the average MAC foundation. I’m a NC20 is studio sculpt.. I wnat to get face and body. They dont have it available at MAC counters in Brisbane, Australia though.. Trying to decide wether to get c2,N3, or C3… please help! :)

Well I am just back from a Dior makeup, and I finally found a great foundation shade: Diorskin Natural Glow Nude in 22, I love it!

  52. Tekoa

NC15 in MAC. Never found the right shade in another brand

  53. Ilaria

I’m a 10 or 20 in Dior Forever or Nude… but I still haven’t found the right shade of Mac, I’ve tried NW 20 but it’s too dark, NC 20 was nice but my forehead looked soooo yellow! then i’ve tried NC 15 but it’s way too yellow. I’ve also mixed NC 15 with a little bit of NW 20 but looked very dark.. any suggestion? at my mac counter they can’t really help you.. I have really neutral undertones.. maybe more pink then yellow but not so evident

    • Ilaria

the reason why I don’t want to use Dior (which I relly like) is beause they have parabens..

  54. tremorviolet

I’ve been matched to a NC15 but it looks horrible and orange on me. I usually wear either MUFE HD 117 or Prescriptives Real Vellum.

  55. Amazing Cosmetics Loose Velvet Mineral: Deep Golden for the summer

MAC: ..anywhere from NW35 to NC44 depending on the product and time of year. It’s madness.

MUFE HD: 153 ..but I’m going to have to get re-matched as the summer gets started.

  56. Sandy

I use MAC NW30 in Studio Fix and NW25 in Studio Sculpt. I also use Smashbox HD in Light4 in the winter and Medium1 in the summer

  57. Roxanne

NC15 in MAC (and even that’s too dark for me, I feel)

  58. Emmie

    I’m 125 in Illamasqua :)

  67. Andrea

    MAC – NC20/25
    MUFE HD – 118
Everyday Minerals – Medium Beige Neutral

  68. Andrea

I only use MAC foundations and I’m an NC30. I was first matched at C4 which made me orange… “/ NC30 is a lot more natural looking.

  69. niknik

    MAC NC37, summer or winter.

  70. Jen

In general my skin is medium or light/medium depending on the brand. Mac I am usually NC30, but my Studio Sculpt foundation is a bit dark on me… so maybe between NC25 and 30.

And everyday minerals I mix Golden Medium and Fairly Light Neutral. :)

  71. NC20 in winter NC35 in summer – I never usually tan, plus I am pale, it’s just because I have olive undertones that make me look darker

  72. Leah

Usually I’m between NC25-NC30 but it seems like NW is way too pink and NC is usually too yellow.

  73. Christy

NC35 in winter, NC37/40 in summer. I tan really easily!

  74. aly

    nc50 mac satinfinish
    nc55 mac studio scuplt

  75. JillyB

Mac NC40 most of the year

  76. Sheena

In the past, I was NC44/45, though I recently matched as a NW42. My skin seems to change a bit throughout the year.

  77. olaronke

wow … i seem to be the darkest here … lol
    mac nw50!

  78. Nicole

I’m an NC20 in MAC and 115 in MUFE HD.

  79. Nathalie

Sisley “0″ (Porcelaine) which is the lightest shade (± NC15)
But I don’t like the effect of tinted foundation or powder on me, I prefer a super natural effect. I’m only wearing Dior Icône in “transparent” or Le Blanc de Chanel.

  80. Katherine

    Everyday Minerals Golden Medium Tan

  81. tgz

I’m MAC NW25 and Helena Rubinstein “biscuit”. Does anyone know Dior’s similiar color to NW25? I want to buy DiorSkin Nude online but I’m afraid to get the wrong color!

  85. Evelyn

MAC NC40 w/o a tan, w/a tan i have not a clue, and i really need to find out my mufe hd shade, ive been wanting to try it out for a while but the $40 keeps me hesitating.

  86. Wilcoa

    NC15 in MAC

  87. lina

    mac nc42
    lancome CII 50

  88. Melissa

I can only use Bare Minerals in Fairly Light.

MAC basically destroyed my skin! :(

  89. Stefanie Anja

I’m quite a bit lighter than NC15 and I use MUFE HD in #110. :)

  90. Kristin

Oh wow. I am still scared by the entire MAC foundation system, so I haven’t even tried it. I use Bare Minerals in Light.

  91. I am an NC44 in MAC Foundations, Golden in Bobbi Brown foundations and Bamboo in BECCA’s Tinted Moisturizer.

    • Diane

Hi, I have the same MAC NC44 and Bobbi Brown in Golden. I don’t suppose you have an Illamasqua foundation? Curious to know what shade I am without making a special trip into London to check.

      Thanks,
      Diane

      • Nycki

        Hi

I’m same MAC NC44/BB Golden and I wear Illamasqua in RF240 (that’s in the Rich Liquid and Cream Foundation)

        HTH

  92. mlou

I did wear a MAC foundation back in mid90′s – in NW100/NW10. It was a little darker than my natural skin.

I wear LM mmu in Soft Porcelain in the warmer months, and wear strong sunscreen all over everyday of the year.

  93. Jenny

When I first started wearing MAC (around 3 years ago), I was a NC42. Then I started reading makeup blogs and started to become more aware of skin damage. I’m always using sun protection, whether it be a hat, long sleeves and sunblock! Now I’m an NC30. And my skin looks so much better!

  94. Armani Luminous Silk foundation #4

  95. I’m NW15 in MAC, although for some odd reason I’m NC15 in Studio Sculpt. NW15 is just too orange, and I have no idea why :-(

I also use Alabaster in Bobbi Brown and Fair in Bare Minerals. Paleness FTW!
