Temptalia Asks You – What do you look for in the perfect lipgloss?

What do you look for in the perfect lipgloss? Sticky, glittery, opaque?

.

I’m all about a semi-opaque to opaque, shimmery but not gritty, lipgloss. Sticky or non-sticky doesn’t matter, but it should wear well.

Glitter or shimmer, with enough color to wear on its own. A pleasant smell and taste. It doesn't matter if its sticky, I can usually deal with that

I love glittery lip gloss that at least gives you a hint of color. I also like the glosses that last a while and taste good. =)

non-sticky, and it would be great if it lasts longer than 5 minutes!

Semi-opaque to opaque coloring, non-sticky, shimmer optional. Boy Bait was my perfect lipgloss actually. I can't wait for it to be back in stock for the holidays :-)

I like a semi-opaque, slight shimmer (not glittery), non-sticky finish.

Semi-opaque, non-sticky, shimmery, unscented.

I like sticky lipgloss, but i really prefer thick and non-sticky gloss. And i don't really get the hype of Dazzleglasses, or all those sheer glittery lipglosses who all look the same once applied. I like my lipgloss pigmented, please.

Semi opaque, fairly pigmented and sticky doesn't matter TOO much to me. I just don't want that marshmellow feeling on my lips ( and my boyfriend doesn't either! ) I really hate gritty lipgloss, the ones with the huge blocks of glitter. It's too much for school! I seem to lean towards golden pink colors the most! MAC Nymphette lipglass is my all time favorite lipgloss. It my perfect lipgloss, I love it. The only thing I don't like about it it doesn't last that long... but I don't mind reapplying throughout the day! (:

Highly pigmented, shimmery, and non sticky. Also unscented- I hate fruity/ vanilla scents on my lips.

I like them semi opaque, with enough pigment and a little sheen or sparke, not not too much. I really hate sticky one that you your hair just stuck on ou lips!

I like gel formula's like Cremesheen's, except more pigment. I hate sticky glosses & usually avoid ones with glitter.

First and foremost I look for a beautiful color. I also like a pleasant scent/flavor since it's on my lips. I don't care about stickiness, and I like a range of sheer to opaque. Bottom line is it has to look good on my lips and compliment my skin tone.

I like shiny, not too sticky, shimmer sometimes but no grit, semi opaque if on own, more sheer if over a lipstick. To make them stand out, like good flavor and scent. Would pick flavored over unflavored - especially those unflavored that taste like plastic.

My fav, but very hard to find, are: totally opaque (I have red lips), not very shiny, VERY LITTLE to no shimmer.

if it doesnt feel like sand, glitter is all good, as for sticky, as long as it stays on longer than five minutes i dont mind, but i prefer slick to sticky, lustreglass is yummy speaking of yummy, i got a plumping gloss the other day that tasted DISGUSTING but looks gorgeous on, what to do, what to do?

I hatehatehate chunky glitter bits!!! Hate glitter because I feel that I can't wear it anywhere. That is all. Anything else is fine... Oh, and it can't smell repulsive.

I HATE sticky glosses with a vengeance. I'm ok if they don't last very long. not too much shimmer for me. moisturizing, sheer to semi-opaque, silky and glossy are my kind of glosses

I hate sticky gloss. The best one I have found is at La Senza (Canada). It is super cheap and I love how it wears.

It needs to be pigmented enough to be distinguishable from other lipglosses on the lips (TONS of lipglosses fail at this). There can be shimmer, but no intense glitter. I'd rather have them not be too opaque cause if I want opacity I generally go for lipstick not gloss. It shouldn't smell or taste gross, of course. Not bothered about stickyness.

I want to be pink, not sticky, very shiny and give aspect of fuller lips.

good pigmentation, not too damn sticky & good staying power.. if it has shimmer, i would like micro-fine shimmer,please..

Haha, I don't look, I know. The only gloss I've been using for a couple years now is from Bath and Body Works' C.O. Bigelow line. The tinted mentha shines are by far the best gloss I've ever encountered! Not terribly colored, but so moisturizing I often use it when I go to bed as well as during the day.

sticky, works well with lots of different things, and of coarse beautiful!!

i agree and it stays on i love rich brow lipstick with ahint og gloss or mauve colours

Not too sticky, provides colour you can build up, no gritty bits, not overly shimmery

I haaaaate sticky lipglosses. I can tell you more what I DONT look for =/ I love shimmery lip glosses, but the glitter particles have to be very finely milled. Im not really bothered about taste or scent, but it cant be disgusting. Im very picky about the opacity of cream glosses

I usually like semi-opaque glosses with no or very finely milled shimmer particles and sophisticated shine. I'd prefer non-sticky, but actually I've found all glosses I've used up to date more or less sticky, so I'm not sure whether non-sticky ones exist...and they shouldn't have a flavour or strong fragrance (MAC's vanilla fragrance is fine)

It depends. I tend to prefer semi-opaque lipglosses. In the summer, I prefer non-glittery ones, and in the winter, I don't mind a little shimmer. I never buy a lipgloss based on it's stickiness LOL
