Chanel because of the price, and I can’t stand scented products.

YSL Foundations because their undertones are not yellow enough for my undertones.

Clinique, BE, Pur Minerals, CG, L’Oreal, Stila (as I’ve been allergic to their liquid makeup), Smashbox, Dior, Guerlain, YSL, The Body Shop, Aveda, BB, EL, EA, Lancome, WnW (since they d/c AOS), NYC, and most cutesy brands at Sephora (unless I see some raves on MUA for a specific item.

Wow, I sound picky, but I just don’t buy into cute promo anymore – I want something substantial if I’d going to buy an item.

It has a great reputation, but Clarins and Shu Eumura (spelling??)… I thinlk it’s over priced and boring packaging and colors.

It’s interesting because I usually base how I view a whole brand on whether they have a large variety of foundation shades for AA women. I don’t wear foundation that often, but if I see a brand has just few shades of foundation for AA women I feel the whole line is not trying to get my business whether my shade is reflected or not…so I pass on everything.

Bobbi Brown seems very overpriced and boring to me. Same with Trish McEvoy. MUFE, Smashbox, Urban Decay and Too Faced don’t really appeal to me either. Neither does Lancome, Benefit or Lorac really… I’m not even that interested in Shiseido or Hourglass and I’ve totally given up on Bare Escentuals. It’s way too hard to find a shade that matches perfectly and too expensive to mix your own… plus I’m apparently allergic to bismuth. Spent two years thinking the little red spots on my cheeks were recurring blemishes only to have them vanish overnight after I started using EDM.

Brands I do like looking at: Tarte, Clinique, Dior, Cargo, Kat von D for Sephora (her eyeshadow palettes are AMAZING) and Givenchy. Givenchy’s packaging is just so luxe.

A lot of the ‘classy’ brands bore me to tears. Chanel, Dior, etc. They probably have nice basics, but meh. The packaging is boring, the colors are boring.. I tend to shy away from classic designer brands in general though.
