where do you buy these dazzle dusts? I just looked up the website and they look amazing but they don’t ship to the US off their site :( what drugstore carries them??
Porcelain
Wednesday, December 3, 2008
I’m in the UK, but I buy them from Boots or Superdrug- you could see if either of those sites ship to the US!

Maybelline Define-a-Lash legthening mascara (the green one) is amazing.
I love Boots No7 longwear eyeshadows, Boots 17 lipsticks and powder blusher, Maybelline lipstick, L’oreal lipstick, Maxfactor Masterpiece mascara and everything by GOSH cosmetics - their foundation and brushes are fantastic quality.

And I forgot Maxfactor’s Masterpiece - although I usually go for Masterpiece Max. In my mind, it performs as well as more expensive brands, at a fraction of the cost!

Neutrogena acne stuff, man that stuff clears me up in no time! I just switched and they’re KEEPING me clear, I can finally try different products and if they break me out(most do), I don’t fret anymore, I got my neutrogena. Oh, I almost forgot, I loooove the Mint Julep Mask, it feels so good and refreshing and dries up pimples faster than anything I’ve tried before. It’s like DDF’s Sulfur Theurapeutic Mask but for like $2-3 instead of $30, plus it’s minty!
Seeing how the “cheap” stuff works wonders on my uber-sensitive skin almost makes me want to try their make up. Nah, wild horses couldn’t drag me away from Sephora!!!

I love lots of Loreal HIP stuff..the paints, pigments, and cream liners. I’m also currently using a Rimmel liquid foundation that I like, I usually buy drugstore foundation (also love Revlon Colorstay). And sometimes drugstore mascaras, right now I’m using Maybelline Colossal Volum or whatever its called…the bright yellow one. I like it.

Maybelline Colossal Volum’ Express mascara is my go-to…I also am really liking Nivea Cream (you know, the thick stuff). It’s super hydrating and doesn’t get my hands (or the rest of me) all greasy.

MF Volume Couture, definitely! I’ve tried tons of drugstore & higher end mascaras and have finally found my Holy Grail.
I also like the Prestige glosses. They’re the closest to the Vincent Longo ones that I adore.

Since I’m just now getting into “higher end” makeup (I’m only 20), I have quite a few drugstore items.
1. Covergirl Eye Enchancers in Golden Sunset
Sure, Covergirl eye shadows are considered inferior to other cheaper makeup lines like Milani, but this particular trio (I’m not sure about the other ones) offers get color payoff and blends well.
2. Milani Eye Shadow Quad in Earthly Delights
3. Milani Runway Eyes Wet/Dry Eyeshadows
4. Milani Lipgloss in Honey Do [Yes, it is spelled, "Do"]
5. Milani Lipgloss in Jamaican Rum
6. Covergirl Wetslicks Fruit Spritzers in Strawberry Splash
7. Rimmel Lyrca Lash Extender Mascara
8. Rimmel Glam’Eyes Mascara
9. Soap & Glory Glow Lotion
10. Caress Exotic Oil Infusions Body Wash [best drugstore body wash]

Loreal Lip Jelly’s are soooo great. The only thing I dis like is having to stick my finger in the pot, but other than that they are the perfect lip gloss for sure!
I love that they come in a glass pot b/c they are easy to clean out and you can use them for loose pigments or after cutting your UDPP you can stick it in there.

I use some Biore products on my face and I like the burts bees lip products but otherwise I usually stick to higher end stuff…
It’s not like I believe that higher end products are just automatically better but because you can’t try stuff I’m always wary of how they will work out; plus, I don’t go to the spa or get my nails done or anything so my little treat to myself is indulging in expensive makeup.. makes me feel like a superstar every morning!

I’m LOVING Cover Girl’s Lash Blast mascara. The formula doesn’t clump & it really gives volume to my lashes. I used to splurge on Diorshow, but I like this stuff much butter & it’s much less harsh on my wallet.
And I agree that anything by Burt’s Bees is wonderful.

Thats so funny! My best friend SWEARS by dior and wears almost only chanel and dior, but she said she also prefers a drugstore brand to diorshow… which is fine by me cause I got 3 mascara from her now :D

covergirl outlast smoothwear eyeliner in smoke, goes on smooth and has great staying power. I choose smoke because it’s a nice dark grey so it’s not as harsh as black for daily wear

HG Drugstore products:
Loreal voluminous mascara-great but a little too thick
Sally Hanson hard as nails clear- the only thing that helps my weak nails
Revlon super lustrous lipgloss- have almost every shade of this
Sinful nail polish- definitely comparable to OPI
Sinful lip gloss in Goddess- Nars orgasm dupe for $2
Loreal HIP eye shadows- who doesnt love these things?
Maybelline define-a-lash (green)- awesome length and wand
Visine- staple item
CG single eye shadows- shimmering onyx, kind of like MAC’s black tied but more shimmer and less fall out
Oil of Olay moisturizer- great for oily skin esp with spf 15
NYC lip color in Ruby- soft red moisturizing lipstick for people who are scared of reds
Neutragena on the spot acne treatment- zits beware!
Neutragena acne stress line- gengle yet cleansing
John Freida straightening hair polish- silica based product adds volume and body without weight. I bought one and then went back to target and purchased every one they had!
Quite a long list but then again I am a beauty junkie! ;-)

OPI Avoplex cuticle oil (and nailpolishes - Nomads Dream is gorgeous!) is my latest find.
And some dirt cheap Chinese made eyeshadows called Quianyu - New Attractive Fashion Color I found in a local Dollar Store for $2… incredibly pigmented, high colour payoff, can be used wet or dry and stays on ALL day. I have found palettes of 12 shades for $5 and the range of colours is amazing. I have 7 Dior quints and haven’t touched them for a month!

I really like Covergirl’s eyeshadows. I have to layer a bit more than the expensive stuff, but the colors are nice, and it’s a lot cheaper.
I like pretty much anything Aveeno makes, and I use Physician’s Formula foundation and powder. It’s the only stuff that doesn’t make me break out.

i agree with everyone who’s said that mint julep mask is the best thing since sliced bread. i put it on a pimple at night, that thing is pretty much gone when i wake up in the morning.
and the milani eyeshadows are awesome too. i was interested in trying out some purple shadows, but was afraid of going high end cause i wasn’t sure how i’d look with purple. so i wandered around in duane reade for a while…and found milani. best find in a while. pretty pigmented for a DS brand…will definetely pick up more quads from them.
lashblast is awesome, but i just bought diorshow so i’m gonna use that for a while.
anndd…the HIP creme liner is amazing. you guys keep saying their jelly balms are good, so i think i’m gonna pick one of those up and try them.

Physician’s Formula “Twins” Concealer. Liquid concealer with the green on one end and the concealer color on the other. I have to use the green so sparingly on my fair (aka radioactive white) skin but the cover is so amazing it is worth it.

Hi Kimberly - as far as I know the store I got them at is called $3 & $5 Dollar Store - I know there are a couple of others around my city but they all have different names (and I’m in New Zealand too so that probably won’t help) - my aunt first spotted them in a Dollar Store in Auckland and bought them as a bit of a joke but they really are excellent and i’ve been buying them for all my friends. Cheap and totally awesome.
Good luck!
