I start adding heavier creams to my night-time skincare regimen to keep my skin from getting too dry.

Yeah, I’m the same, start wearing heavier cream, and also don’t bother that much with spf (naughty I know, but the sun doesn’t shine that much in England in the winter, lol).

  2. Miss_M says:

I start to use a slight heavier moisturizer, nightcream and bodylotion and I slather on the chapstick, hand- and footcream a little more often.

  3. Cat says:

I also go with a heavier cream. Even thou I have oily skin, winters in NYC can leave me with dry patches. I also switch to foundation instead of just tinted moisturizer.

  4. Marya says:

Winter season targets skin visibly, and to avoid that I shield my skin with woollen clothes. I do not forget to double my intake of liquids.

  5. Roxanne says:

I make sure to apply cream everyday (although my skin doesn’t get dry easily) and I also tend to wear more make-up (less sweaty than in the summer :) )

  6. Chelsey says:

I moisturize more often, always have chapstick by my side, and use liquid instead of powder foundation.

  7. jeannie says:

I wear heavier creams everywhere – face, hands, body. If not, I will dry up!

  8. DoDe says:

Heavier moisturizer for me too. But I still wear SPF50 all year round.

  9. Heather says:

Mine doesn’t change at all. I have fairly oily skin so I don’t have dryness.

  10. emma says:

I use a heavier day cream, as wind and chilly weather chaps my face. Don’t work in office.

  11. Emm says:

My skin regiment doesn’t change much except I use heavier moisturizers on my body. My face is oily so no change needed. Besides being able to get away with heavier foundations like Studio Sculpt by MAC.

  12. Jess says:

I also use a heavier moisturizer and Spf55 and i dont like to wear much makeup.

  13. laura says:

loooots of moisture and more crazy looks since they wont melt off!

  14. Christy says:

More moisturizer on my face and body butter everywhere instead of regular body lotion.

  15. firepail says:

I still use my spf moisturizer for my face, but I find the real toll of winter is on my hair, lips, and hands. I wash my hair less and condition it more, slather on lip balm more often, apply cuticle oil nightly and repeatedly apply hand lotion throughout the day.

  16. amy says:

I use richer moisturizers and body lotions. I also use more berries and wine colours for makeup.

Products for oily skin in the summer.
Products for regular skin in the winter

  18. NaNa says:

Definitely more moisturizing products– lotions, conditioners, creams… I have to *always* carry a lipbalm with me. I also put more sunscreen on during winter since I like to go outside more in cold weather. Biking is more fun when its chilly for some reason. :3

  19. Ruth says:

My lipstick shades tend to be darker come fall & winter.

  20. Liz says:

I switch to a heavier moisturizer for day time, I find my self applying more make up in the colder weather cause it won’t just melt off my face. My lip are extremely dry so i make sure to scrub and put on a thick lip balm at all time, my favorites is from sara happ… At night I put on the thickest night cream I can find and an eyes balm…

My routine definitely changes up a bit. I have to start actually remembering to put on body lotion daily, otherwise my skin gets really itchy from the dryness. I also switch up my moisturizer a slightly heavier one, I do hydrating masks more often, and I definitely bust out the darker colors. I also start using a glossing cream in my hair to keep it from frying in all the indoor heating.

  22. Bridgette says:

Mine doesn’t change since i have oily skin and winter doesn’t do much of an effect to my skin. And I live in Southern California so winter isn’t really winter down here.
