For everyday use i have one of those drawers Karrie has on my dresser and all my other makeup is in a caboodles train case. Im really trying not to have more makeup than my traincase can hold. lol

I love your storage solution Christine!

It helps keep everything so neat and tidy in one place!

    Here’s my storage:
    http://musemedia.blogspot.com/2007/08/for-some-odd-reason-or-another-my.html

Use an array of plastic cabinets, draws, etc..A desktop organizer helps me display small pieces, sliding mirror cabinet, etc…

I like that yours is all in one spot. Mine is spaced around a bit more and I’d love to have it all in one easy to reach location! Would make life easier ;)

Since I have a pretty good sized bathroom with a large counter all to myself, I pretty much expand across that. My MAC traincase houses pretty much all of my most used eyeshadows (palettes, quads, & pots), paints, paint pots, shadesticks, fluidlines, liners, mascaras. Next to it, I have one of those silver metal mesh baskets filled with pigments & pigment samples, and another one filled with lip products. I have a round silver metal mesh container with my brushes in it. I only have two narrow drawers in my bathroom (despite its size!). One drawer contains all of my face stuff (foundation, blush, MSFS, loose powder, etc.) & the other has hair stuff (straightener, curling iron, 3 barrel curler, hair ties, clips, etc.) Under the sink, I have two plastic storage tubs filled with all the makeup I rarely use. It works for now, but I’m running out of room!

Lucky you, Ariele! I miss my lovey vanity from my old place so much! I used to keep things in a traincase, but then it got to be so inconvenient, lol.

I need a new system, but right now i have everything on top of my bedroom dressed in a Caboodles train case that is WAY to small for my ever-expanding collection (*cough* obsession *cough*). The brush roll is on the side, as well as about 10 lipsticks and a few pigments that i can’t stuff in the train case anymore.

oh, and that doesn’t include my “emergency makeover kit” in my desk drawer at work (with literally everything i need to be fully made up incase i am lazy in the morning), the small MAC softsac in my purse with my “emergency touch-up kit” (lipglass, mascara, perfume, etc — incase i forget to throw in the next bag), and my medium MAC jacquard case with my daily essentials (whatever i am wearing for the day for touchups)

i think i have a little problem with makeups. Help!!

Whew, what a list you have, Courtney!! I outgrew my traincase awhileeee ago! Now it sits around empty and unused, lol.

This is so hilarious to me…I keep some of my makeup on the floor by our floor length mirror.( I usually sit when I put it on).My husband hates it.
So I got a few of those plastic containers the square ones and put all my lipstick in them upside down, same with lipglasses and glitter liners. I bought some of the larger clear containers from the 99 cent store and put my others stuff in it…BTW I bought a M.A.C case…350$ later relized that they suck so bad..If any one is planning on this Don’t . Save your money

My boyfriend was feeling cramped with all my junk in the bathroom!

I’ve never heard someone hate on the MAC traincase before! I can’t afford it – I just think… that’s $250 I could spend on MAKEUP not on a case! I lucked out and purchased my traincase longggg ago, before I was a huge MAC addict, for maybe $30.

I guess it depends on how much makeup you have…
I loved it at first but it opens up with only one side that comes out and rises up…
If you have too much stuff in the trays it always tips over…I have had many messes this way.

gahhhhhhhhhhhhhh Allison!!! I have totally had my eye on the MAC case…its sooooo beautiful and I LOVE being organized in ONE space. Right now I have all my make-up in a smaller version of the carry case (sorta) but after todays trip to the PRO store I am no longer going to be able to fit all my make-up in it :( my eyeshadows/pigments no longer fit into their allotted section….GAHHHH!

Anyone familiar with any other type of pro make-up artist cases that can/will fit a butt load of products into one space?

I bought – Swimming e/s, Golden Olive pigment, Plus Luxe gloss, Faux lipstick, and the new mattene lipstick in Poise, and after smelling it every time I go into the store I picked up a bottle of the MV3 perfume…I love spicy scents.

The rest of my bathroom is super duper highly organized! When it comes to drawers/cupboards I totally channel Martha Steward (I need a new label maker). So I have mesh metal tins (thank you 98 cent store) for each used item – hair bands, hair styling products, lotions etc. I also keep a smaller plastic bin in my bedside stand for lotions that I use in or near bedtime. I loath having a bunch of products sitting around on open space looking cluttered. Even when I visit a hotel I have to have order to my products…sick I know!

Oh, no, Tanya! Too much makeup, eh? I think most of us have that problem here at Temptalia!!

You might be able to find one if you search ebay, I can’t remember who makes them. I want to say something like QTICA but I think that’s wrong.

Ohh, I’d love to see pictures of your organization system, it sounds so awesome!

I have the stackable drawers – three of them. The top holds all face products, i.e., foundations, concealers, powders (loose and pressed), blushes, bronzers, highlighters and the like. The middle drawers holds all eye products, i.e., eyeshadows (creams and powders), mascara, pencils. The bottom drawer holds all lip products, i.e., lip balms, lipsticks, lipglosses.

All my MAC make-up is separated within those drawers. I have more MAC than anything else and I keep them all together. All products from the same line are stacked together, e.g., all Bobbi Brown blushes in one stack, all KLS Fabulosity Glossamers next to each other, etc.

I have most of my make up in the train case , like my eyeshadows and powders, blushes , bronzers, mascaras, and eyelines and lip lines , then I have one drawer in my dresser that I have for my lipsticks and lipglosses and the makeup I ware everyday, in a flat organizer inside the drawer. But with all of the new items coming out I need more room.

How’s the convenience? I didn’t like having stuff in my traincase because I felt like it took too much time to take stuff out!

    Wednesday, October 17, 2007

I used to use two traincases but eventually, my collections outgrew both and I could no longer close either of them. Now I use a rolling stack of six drawers, which goes from the floor to just past my waist… so it’s a pretty big storage system and fits everything nicely. For now. :P For my pigments/glitters, I have a homemade pigment cabinet that my grandfather built me. :D It’s awesome. The slots are specifically made to fit pigment jars too. I will post collection pics sometime this month and everyone shall drool over his handywork! ;)

I have a traincase of the stuff i don’t usualy use that much and seperate makeup bags for each type of product, e.g-nails,palettes,shadows,paintpots,lipglasses,brushes, etc.
