I keep boxes for a few days until I decide to keep the product…then I recycle. I’m a no clutter kind of person. I wish I could bring myself to keep some of the nicer boxes…but I don’t have the space. Plus I take really good care of my makeup anyway.

I keep the boxes of products like foundation, blush and any compact, because I travel often and I find it’s much easier to carry around products in their original boxes than in any other bag. Besides, certain products should not be exposed to sunlight, and are better kept inside boxes anyway!
I throw away lipstick and eye shadow boxes immediately – unless they are exceptional and worth keeping.

I only keep the boxes if I want to be able to refer to the product ingredients. But, Clau’s comment got me thinking that maybe a better storage system would be to keep things in the boxes in a drawer, like how they do at the MAC counter. hmm.

Well, I prefer to keep the box if I’m not sure I want to keep an item because it has the receipt sticker for Nordstrom, but I’ll usually throw it in the recycle because they’ll still trade it anyway.

I keep my boxes!! Sometimes, I will also keep the products in the boxes such as my NARS blush.. cuz you know how the NARS packaging gets dirty easily. But whenever I get new makeup products, i will usually keep them in their boxes for a few weeks..such as my MAC eyeshadow, Mineralize skinfinish, MAC blushes, until they start to get old and scratched. I really hate it when the plastic gets scratched but it is inevitable. People find it wierd when they see me whip out my makeup bag and inside are makeup products STILL in its packaging. They usually ask me if that was what i bought that day but I tell them I’ve had it for a while already! I thought I was the only wierd one. Its nice to see that there are other people out there with my same strange habit!

Sometimes :) If it’s a new product I’m not sure of, I keep it in the event I need to take it back. If I’m sure I love it, I toss. Or, if it’s a replacement or something I already know I like, I’ll toss it too. But…If it’s crutial to the prettyness and cuteness of the product, then OF COURSE ;D

I keep the boxes for quite a while. I don’t wear makeup often, so sometimes it will take a while before I figure out a color is really not for me, or that I’m allergic to something. With the box, even if I can’t send it back, it makes it look a little nicer when I give it to someone that it might work for.

Nope! I throw them all away. Products that come in a MAC box is like having christmas. I get excited and tear away at everything! I put all my makeup in a large MAC bag. I will probably graduate to the hard case once I get back from Iraq.
